The article begins with a review and analysis of the literature on Character and Citizenship Education in Singapore in grades 1-2, with particular reference to values in education. The understanding of values in terms of Marwin Berkowitz, Fritz Oser and Wiel Veugelers is the theoretical basis of the article. The analysis of curriculum began with a review of the literature on values in education. The next stage was to analyse the curriculum along with its Core Values (Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Integrity, Care and Harmony), embodied in the five domains, its three Big Ideas (Identity, Relationship, Choices) and its guiding principles in grades 1-2. Education here comes across as an interaction between various sets of teachers’ values and the ongoing construction of students’ values. The key part of the study is to analyse the Singaporean Character and Citizenship Education, principally its parts which involve the Core Values. Key Understandings and Key Questions make it possible for students to become involved in the variance of values in a constructive and critical manner. Documents concerning the subject of the analysis were studied by means of a problem method, which is based on an educational phenomenon examining various consistent factors related to time and society.

The article addresses a key issue in curriculum policy, ethical education in Grades 1 and 2. The article uses the Finnish 2014 basic curriculum as the basis for a case study rooted in the humanities, philosophy, and the cultural sciences. The article explores what is embodied in this policy, especially the objectives of the subject of ethics in the curriculum. The article draws attention to the development of values through the curriculum in primary education in Finland and presents an overview of recent developments in values education in schools, taking curriculum research into account. The key part of the study is an analysis of the Finnish National Core Curriculum, principally those parts which involve secular ethics, as formulated by the Ministry of Education, and which emphasize the right of children to a good education and “to understand themselves, other people, the society, the environment, and different cultures” (National Core Curriculum, 2016, p. 15).

The article begins with a review and analysis of the literature on educational reform in Finland, with particular reference to values education and secular ethics. The analysis of the curriculum began with a review of the literature on secular ethics in Finnish basic education. The next stage was to analyse the curriculum along with the curricular guidelines and support for primary schools in grades 3–6, especially with regard to what is applicable to all schools in Finland; this involved a review of the literature on educational reform in Finland, values in teaching and secular ethics. The article addresses a key issue in curriculum policy: ethics education in grades 3–6. The article explores what is embodied in this policy, especially the objectives of the subject of ethics.  The problem method and critical discourse analysis were applied to the study of documents concerning educational reform and the study of discourses in political rhetoric. The problem method is based on an educational phenomenon related to time and society, so it was necessary to contrast the different views presented in contemporary Finnish education and to examine various consistent factors. Education here is thus an interaction between the various sets of teachers’ values and the ongoing construction of students’ values. This method of primary education encourages appropriate conditions for lifelong learning for each student. Suggested lessons may include discussions with students about values so that students perceive the variance in values and are able to think about them in a constructive and critical manner.

The National Core Curriculum for Basic Education 2014 underlined the need to treat each child as unique and valuable, and as a result, students are encouraged to enhance their self-images, self- efficacy, and self-esteem, which contribute to improvement of their learning skills. There is highlighted the emphasis on the joy of learning and promotion of pupil welfare. The main part of the study is thus an analysis of the Finnish National Core Curriculum, based on a review of the literature on secular ethics across grades 7 to 9 and the presentation of values in Finnish basic education.

The imperative need of a social coexistence among different groups of people is the implementation of the intercultural education. In these circumstances, school is the most important place and factor for pupils and students as future citizens to take the first knowledge-based on society, life and coexistence in a given country. On the other hand, all social-cultural school courses should be reviewed in accordance with western visions which accelerate the pace towards a future world without borders, despite different races and cultures. Thus, the content of such courses, such as history, geography, drawing, music and literature should occupy more important new notions and information about intercultural education and it's role on a social development. Therefore, it is important for the given society, that all the schools' directors should pay more attentions on entertainments about cultural activities among pupils and students as future citizens. The focus of this paper is the role and importance of intercultural education for the development of a social society.

Ecology is an important element of modern human life, and shaping pro-ecological attitudes should start from an early age. Such an initiative comes from, among others, Viktor Junior magazine (addressed to children aged 10-12), which devotes a lot of space to the issues of nature, environmental protection, etc. The author of the article analyses selected articles (from 2020) on broadly understood nature. She shows the linguistic means by which a positive evaluation of pro-ecological attitudes and the natural environment is made. The research has shown how to pass ecological values to the young generation in a simple and non-intrusive way devoid of pathos.
