The given article is devoted to the contemporary concepts of female entrepreneurship and its features, particularly the case of Kazakhstan as the leading developing country of Central Asia. The importance of female entrepreneurship development has been highlighted as a key economic factor forming the innovation potential of the modern economy resulting in stable economic growth within a country. The research methodology of this paper is based on conducting a historical retrospective, comparative analysis of existing patterns of macroeconomic development, political and social issues in the context of the female entrepreneurship formation and development. It also implemented problematic analyses, systematic vision, causes and consequences analysis and expert assessment, interviewing and broad online survey. The methodology of the research is based on both primary and secondary data collected and processed. Taking into account the specifics and key problems female entrepreneurs face, possible solutions and recommendations on how to improve the current social and economic situation to unleash the female entrepreneurship potential of Kazakhstan are proposed.

Niniejszy artykuł poświęcony jest współczesnym koncepcjom przedsiębiorczości kobiet i ich cechom, w szczególności przypadkowi Kazachstanu jako wiodącego rozwijającego się kraju Azji Środkowej. Znaczenie rozwoju przedsiębiorczości kobiet zostało podkreślone jako kluczowy czynnik ekonomiczny kształtujący potencjał innowacyjny nowoczesnej gospodarki, powodujący stabilny wzrost gospodarczy w kraju. Metodologia badań tego artykułu opiera się na przeprowadzeniu historycznej retrospektywnej analizy porównawczej istniejących wzorców rozwoju makroekonomicznego, zagadnień politycznych i społecznych w kontekście kształtowania i rozwoju przedsiębiorczości kobiet. Wdrożono także analizy problematyczne, systematyczne widzenie, analizę przyczyn i konsekwencji oraz ocenę ekspertów, wywiady i szeroką ankietę internetową. Metodologia badań opiera się zarówno na pierwotnych, jak i wtórnych danych zebranych i przetworzonych. Biorąc pod uwagę specyfikę i kluczowe problemy, przed którymi stają kobiety-przedsiębiorcy, proponuje się możliwe rozwiązania i zalecenia dotyczące poprawy obecnej sytuacji społeczno-ekonomicznej w celu uwolnienia potencjału przedsiębiorczości kobiet w Kazachstanie.

This paper presents the brief characteristics of rare earth elements (REE) and their occurrence in acid mine drainage (AMD) waters. The special emphasis is laid on REE classification, computation of shale-normalized coefficients and interpretation of REE anomalies. This paper also outlines the REE behavior in the environment, geochemical interactions and their potential application for assessing an impact of AMD on the environment.

Autorzy na tle ogólnych rozważań ekonomicznych, przedstawiają w artykule swoje poglądy na psychologię w kierowaniu biznesem; małym, średnim i dużym. Rozróżniają przy tym jednoznacznie psychologię w ogóle i psychologię w kierowaniu biznesem i przedsiębiorczością. Przedstawiają także zawartość pojęć: biznes i przedsiębiorczość. Nie zgadzają się z poglądami, że biznes lub przedsiębiorczość mają swoją psychologię. Ta ostatnia jest właściwa tylko ludziom i ludziom w działaniu np. kierowniczym/ sprawczym. Artykuł oparty jest w dużej mierze na międzynarodowych osiągnięciach z omawianego zagadnienia.

The authors, in the context of general economic considerations present in the article their opinions about psychology in business management; small, medium and large ones. They clearly distinguish psychology in general aspect from psychology in managing business and entrepreneurship. They also present the content of business and entrepreneurship. They disagree with the opinion that business or entrepreneurship has its own psychology. The last one is appropriate only to people and people in their actions, e.g. management / causation. The article is based largely on international achievements in discussed issues.

Definiowanie usług. Analiza cech usług w definicjach literaturowych

Celem opracowania była identyfikacja częstości występowania cech usług w ich definicjach dostępnych w literaturze. Badanie przeprowadzono metodą analizy bibliometrycznej. Analizie poddano 27 definicji terminu usługa dostępnych w piśmiennictwie polskim oraz literaturze zagranicznej. Dla każdej z cech ze schematu 5N wyliczono procentowy udział w badanych interpretacjach. Analiza wyników przeprowadzonego badania pozwala stwierdzić, że w 100% definicji obecna jest cecha niematerialność. Niejednorodność to atrybut, który nie występuje w żadnej z analizowanych definicji. Dodatkowo zidentyfikowano najczęściej powtarzające się elementy definicji. Wśród interpretacji zawartych w piśmiennictwie krajowym w 47% definicji uwypuklone jest zaspokojenie potrzeb klienta, zaś w literaturze zagranicznej w prawie 50% satysfakcja klienta. Innowacyjnym elementem opracowania jest analiza bibliometryczna cech usług występujących w definicjach. Wkład własny autorki obejmuje dobór, zestawienie oraz ilościową analizę definicji usług w kontekście obecności ich poszczególnych cech oraz elementów wspólnych.

The aim of the article was to identify the frequency of services features in their definitions available in literature. The study was conducted with the use of bibliometrical literature analysis. 27 definitions present in Polish and foreign literature were analyzed. For each of the features from 5N schedule the percentage share in analyzed interpretations was calculated. The analysis of the results of the st udy demonstrates that in 100% of definitions intangibility is present. Heterogenity is the feature which does not show in any of analyzed definitions. In 47% of interpretations contained in Polish literature satisfying customer’s needs was emphasized, while in foreign literature it is pointed out in almost 50% of cases. The innovative part of this study is the use of bibliometrical literature analysis of the services features present in their definitions. Author’s own contribution includes selection, compilation and quantitative analysis of services definitions in the context of their unique features and common components.

Problematyka niniejszego opracowania dotyczy przedsiębiorczości w świadomości studentów. Artykuł ten ma charakter teoretyczno-empiryczny. W pierwszej części artykułu przedstawiono teoretyczny zarys problematyki przedsiębiorczości, postaw przedsiębiorczych oraz cechy człowieka przedsiębiorczego. Natomiast w kolejnej części zaprezentowano wyniki badania, którego celem było poznanie opinii w zakresie wiedzy, postaw i zaangażowania studentów Wydziału Organizacji i Zarządzania Politechniki Śląskiej (WOiZ) na temat przedsiębiorczości.

The problem of this paper relates to entrepreneurship in the awareness students. This article is a theoretical and empirical. In the first part of the paper presents a theoretical outline of the problems of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial attitudes and characteristic of entrepreneurial person. However, in the next part of the article present the results of empirical research, the aim of which was to find out the opinions in the field of knowledge, attitudes and involvement of the students of the Faculty of Organization and Management Silesian University of Technology about entrepreneurship.

Życie codzienne mieszkańców miast, miasteczek i wsi budzi niesłabnące zainteresowanie nie tylko środowisk naukowych, ale także szeroko rozumianych społeczności lokalnych. Siedemnastowieczny Zamość, jako ważne centrum handlowe i naukowe wielokulturowej i wielowyznaniowej Rzeczypospolitej stanowi także interesujący przedmiot badań w różnych aspektach związanych z życiem codziennym. Zagadnienie to podejmowało już w swoich opracowaniach wielu badaczy, jednakże ciągle jeszcze dalekie jest ono od wyczerpania. Podejmując próbę odtworzenia fragmentów barwnego życia codziennego mieszkańców Zamościa w tym okresie autor koncentruje się na wybranych aspektach, takich jak uroczystości cechowe czy udział w uroczystościach religijnych. Analizuje także codzienne swary i kłótnie, próby ich łagodzenia, drobne i poważne przestępstwa, wyroki sądowe i sposoby wymierzania kar. Ważnym elementem życia codziennego są także plotki, wskazujące na sposób rozpowszechniania się informacji kształtujących opinie społeczne. W życiu codziennym szczególne miejsce zajmuje rozrywka, towarzysząca mieszkańcom na różnych etapach aktywności zawodowej i społecznej, jako stały element zamykający wszystkie sprawy. Artykuł oparty jest na pamiętniku zamojskiego mieszczanina i profesora Akademii Zamojskiej Bazylego Rudomicza z lat 1656-1672, oraz innym materiałach źródłowych.

The everyday life of residents of the big and small towns and villages is still in the centre of the permanent interests not only of scientific circles but also of local communities understood in the broadest sense. Being an important trade and academic centre of the Polish Republic of several cultures and confessions, the 17th-century town of Zamość is also an interesting subject of researches of various aspects of everyday life. In spite of the existence of many early elaborations, the problem in question still needs to be studied. Undertaking an attempt of making a reconstruction of fragments of the baroque Zamość ’residents’ colourful everyday life, the author concentrates particularly on such aspects as ceremonies of the guilds or residents’ participation in religious ceremonies. He also analyzes daily squabbles and quarrels, attemps of their mitigations, minor and serious offenses, court judgments as well as ways of punishments. Since rumours indicating how information shaping a public opinion is spread, they seem to be an important element of everyday life too. A special place is also reserved for an entertainment; for it not only accompanies residents at different stages of their professional and social activities but also brings all of their affairs to an end. The article is based on a diary written in 1656-72 by Bazyli Rudomicz, a Zamość townsman and Professor of the Zamość Academy, and on other sources.

The montane glades in the Polish Carpathians were created centuries ago and have lasted mainly as a result of mowing and grazing. The observed abandonment of traditional methods of tillage in the last century led to adverse changes in vegetation cover, including a decrease in floristic diversity and the disappearance of many plant species and associations. One of a rare mountain taxa in Poland is the alpine globeflower Trollius altissimus Crantz. The investigations were carried out between June and September 2014 in the Hala Długa glade (Gorce Mts.) at two 36 m2 plots: extensively grazed (P1) and unmanaged (P2). Light intensity, abundance and density of individuals and ramet clusters were significantly greater in the extensively grazed plot, whereas height of plant canopy, length of basal leaf petioles, width of leaf lamina, number and length of generative stems, number of flowers and follicles achieved higher values in the unmanaged plot. The structure of developmental stages and number of basal leaves did not differ remarkably between the studied sites. Also, the soil properties in both plots were very similar. The studies show that extensive sheep grazing has a positive influence on Trollius altissimus. In the studied locality such management contributes to the gradual spreading of this species. However, too intensive pasturage might eliminate this species as it has never been observed in any of the permanently grazed patches in the vicinity.

Dużo mówi się ostatnio o realizacji Programu budowy dróg krajowych na lata 2014–2023. Szczególnie po ogłoszeniu przez GDDKiA planu wybudowania 810 km dróg ekspresowych i autostrad z nawierzchnią betonową. Dla nas, użytkowników dróg, to świetna wiadomość, bo betonowa nawierzchnia drogi gwarantuje jej długą i niskokosztową eksploatację, pod warunkiem oczywiście, że zostanie prawidłowo wykonana. Te same przesłanki dotyczą również dróg lokalnych, będących w gestii samorządów, które pozostają nieco w cieniu dyskusji o drogach krajowych, a dla społeczności lokalnych są przecież podstawowym elementem infrastruktury drogowej. Przemieszczamy się nimi każdego dnia i to głównie od ich stanu zależy bezpieczeństwo transportu lokalnego.

There is much talk recently about the implementation of the National Road Construction Programme for 2014-2023. Especially after GDDKiA announced its plan to build 810 km of expressways and motorways with concrete surface. This is great news for us, road users, because concrete road surface guarantees its long-term and low-cost use, provided of course that it is correctly built. The same conditions apply also to local roads that are the responsibility of local governments, which seems somewhat overshadowed by the discussion on national roads, but for local communities is an essential element of road infrastructure. We travel on them every day and safety of local transport mainly depends on their condition.

In this work, author describes the continuation of his researches about gesture recognition. The previous varaint of the solution was using plain data and was dependent of the performance velocity. In the described researches author made it speed and position invariant by resolving problem of too long or too short gestures – in a previous solution the user had to decide about gesture duration time before performing, now it is not necessary. He also proposed another data representations, using features computed of recorded data. Previous representation, which assumed storing relative positions between samples, was replaced by transforming each gesture to the axis origin and normalizing. He also tried to connect these two representations – plain data and features – into a single one. All of these new data representations were tested using the SVM classifier, which was judged to be the best for the given problem in the previous work. Each of them was tested using one of four popular SVM kernel functions: linear, polynomial, sigmoid and radial basis function (RBF). All achieved results are presented and compared.

W niniejszym artykule autor opisał kontynuację swoich badań dotyczących rozpoznawania gestów. Ulepszył on stworzone przez siebie rozwiązanie w taki sposób, aby nagrywanie i rozpoznawanie gestów było niezależne od szybkości ich wykonywania, a co za tym idzie — ich zróżnicowanej długości. Zaproponował on także inne reprezentacje danych, za pomocą których wyrażany jest stworzony zbiór gestów. Wcześniejsze rozwiązanie, opierające się na przechowywaniu relatywnego położenia dłoni w stosunku do poprzedniej zarejestrowanej próbki (poprzedniego położenia), zastąpione zostało sprowadzeniem gestu do początku układu współrzędnych i zastąpieniem wartości relatywnych absolutnymi, a następnie ich normalizację Z tak przygotowanego zbioru gestów obliczone zostały cechy stanowiące drugą zaproponowaną reprezentację danych. Trzecia reprezentacja stanowi połączenie dwóch poprzednich: zawiera jednocześnie bezpośrednie wartości wyrażające ruch dłoni, jak i obliczone na podstawie jego cechy. Wszystkie trzy reprezentacje zostały przetestowane przy pomocy klasyfikatora, który okazał się najlepszy dla zadanego problemu podczas przeprowadzania wcześniejszych badań: SVM. Porównano, jak z zadanym problemem radzą sobie cztery popularne funkcje jądra: liniowa, wielomianowa, sigmoidalna i radialna. Otrzymane wyniki zostały przedstawione, porównane i omówione.

The paper includes research findings on the influence of apples storing method (storage, cooling chamber, ULO chamber) on particular qualitative and quantitative properties and sensory features of apples stored for 7 months. Statistically significant influence of the duration and storing method on the estimated features and quality indexes of apples were determined.

One of the most important consequences of the design relating to human behavior is to facilitate or to discourage contacts between people. The method of shaping of the physical space can affect the way of the social space use. The concept of an interactional space corresponds to a holistic approach of place in which a set of spatial-physical attributes assisting social contacts in a particular location creates a appropriate situation for social contacts. The interactional nature of public spaces in the city is affected by several functional, structural and aesthetic factors of the environment. The presented paper describes these factors and shows on selected examples how they are used in the analysis of interactive features of public space.
