Background: The aim of this study was to determine changes in both aerobic and anaerobic physical capacity as well as in sport-specific skills in footballers as a result of the applied training load within a one-year training period. It was assumed that the type of applied training load would have a significant influence on changes in physical capacity indexes and on differences in soccer technical skills.Material/Methods: The tests applied in the research were: Wingate test 30 sec. version for lower extremities (used to assess anaerobic capacity), PWC170 test (used to assess aerobic capacity) and German Football Association test of soccer technique skills known as DFB test (Deutsche Fussball Bund test). Results: The highest values of maximal power (Pmax=11.2 W·kg-1) and maximal total work volume (W=270.1 J·kg-1) obtained in Wingate test were noted at the end of the preparatory season. Statistically significant differences (p≤0.05) of mean values of the maximal power occurred between the first and the second test. No differences were stated between mean values of total work volume. However, aerobic capacity index and VO2max determined by an indirect method reached the highest values at the end of the competitive season and amounted to 18.6 kgm·kg-1·min-1 and 51.8 ml·kg-1·min-1 respectively. The best results in soccer technical skills test were registered at the end of the preparatory season (343.6 points) and at the end of the competitive season (340.2 points). Conclusions: It is stated that training load applied had a beneficial influence on changes in physical capacity indexes and results of soccer-related skills.

Traditional education, which involves the acquisition of knowledge only during the period of study at school, transformed into an education that involves the study of theory, skills and abilities throughout life. In this regard, special importance has gained continuity of education that enables organic solution teacher on training and its adaptation to the new realities of modern society. The article presents the methodological and organizational framework research on continuity in design and technological preparation of future teachers of technology. The theoretical model of continuity of designand technological preparation of junior specialists and bachelors at colleges and universities is characterized. Continuity of communication reflects the past, present and future in the content, methods, ways, means and methods of teaching. The learning process in higher education institution is an important stage of continuous process of education that continues throughout life. Therefore, this training should be realized in wide use of already obtained in previous stages knowledge, skills. Continuity in terms of educational and scientific complex “college-university” combines the various stages of continuous professional education and is planned to ensure the transitions between the individual links of the educational process that ensures systematic knowledge and, ultimately, improve the design and technological preparation of future teachers. Continuity in terms of educational and scientific complex “college-university” combines the various stages of continuous professional education and is planned to ensure the transitions between the individual links of the educational process that ensures systematic knowledge and, ultimately, improve the design and technological preparation of future teachers. College, in our opinion, is the important link that connects high-school vocational education with training in core faculty. It should be noted that college is not a higher school and university yet. For further education by getting stepped levels and directing them to the European space of education all colleges concludes agreements with higher education institutions. You can also say that the problem of continuity as an important factor of professional training of future teachers of technology has not found sufficient coverage in the technical literature. Therefore, the current teaching practice has certain difficulties and requires further study and thorough solution.

The aim of the present study was to identify the volleyball skills that discriminate in favour of victory. Twenty-four games (n=24) from the Senior Men's Volleyball World Championship played in Italy in 2010 were chosen and analyzed with Data Volley software. The discriminating function was used to identify the discriminating variables, using a canonical structuring coefficient of |SC| >.30. The results suggest that service points, reception errors, and blocking errors were the discriminating variables that identify the final outcome of the match (victory/defeat). Moreover, successful service points were the major variable most likely associated with match success (victory). In this sense, increasing the effectiveness of service should be a top priority in coaching elite volleyball teams.

The crisis in the countries of the European Union deprived the work of many young people. Brussels wants to spend 6 billion euro for the fight against youth unemployment. This declaration indicates that the issue of the European labor market and unemployment is still important, as confirmed by the results of studies included in the reports. Recently special attention is paid to the issue of employee competencies and preparing students for professional work, therefore in this article I will try to answer two fundamental questions: First: what are the expectation of today’s employers towards workers in the European labor market, secondly, how students (future employees) assess their preparation for future professional duties in the job search process. In addition, my goal will be to draw attention to the importance of key competences and their continuous improvement.

INTRODUCTION: At home, the parents take care of the child's safety, but when the child is in school or kindergarten, it is the educator that takes care of the child. The awareness of dangers the child is exposed to at every moment of his or her activity during the day obliges educators to have up-to-date knowledge of first aid. The marked differences in anatomy, physiology and mechanisms of life-threatening conditions make the principles of first aid differ from those of an adult. First aid courses organised for both educators and pedagogy students should focus on highlighting these differences and learning how to deal with individuals of all ages. The aim of the study is to assess the level of knowledge and practical skills among pedagogy students and to identify aspects requiring adjustments to the curriculum of future teachers. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The study was conducted in 2022 at the Institute of Pedagogy at the University of Siedlce, Poland. Sixty-three pedagogy students participated in it. For the purpose of the study, a survey questionnaire covering the principles of first aid for children and a practical task evaluation sheet were created. Practical skills were assessed using the Resusci Junior QCPR simulator and a 0-15 point rating scale. RESULTS: The study included as many as 63 students of early childhood and pre-school pedagogy. The mean score achieved on the theory test was M=11.49 out of a possible 14 points (SD±1.24). The highest number of correct answers were given by students for the following questions: actions performed when assessing the child's breathing (n=63; 100%) and placing the child in the safe position (n=61; 96.8%). In contrast, the fewest correct answers were related to the rate of chest compressions (n=27; 42.9%). In the practical task, as many as 15 child CPR activities were considered. The average points scored by students on the practical task was M=6.73 out of a possible 15 points (SD±2.73). The average quality of compressions performed was M=28.59% (SD±30.41), breaths M=17.7% (SD±17.70) and chest compression depth was M=20.29% (SD±27.98). CONCLUSIONS: The level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills of pedagogy students is clearly insufficient to provide effective first aid to children. Significant differences were observed among students taking first aid classes onsite versus remotely. Having theoretical knowledge does not translate into practical skills. It seems that it is necessary to modify the curriculum for training future educators in first aid for children.

The role of educational innovations in learning process of foreign languages at higher school is found out in the article. Such theoretical methods as systemically-analytical, terminological analysis of pedagogical scientific literature, synthesis of pedagogical experience have been used in the research in order to study different scientific approaches and development. Usage of innovative technologies in educational process makes the quality of a student education better. To the authors mind, the most effective and productive, among educational innovations, which promote learning process of foreign languages, are: interactive technologies, informative-communication technologies and web-technologies. Interactive technologies which are characterized by organization of active study model, allow saving classroom time, update activization of searching by the students new knowledge, stimulating the teachers to search new forms, methods of organization educational process at educational establishments. Informative communicative technologies (ICT) have a number of advantages in the learning process of foreign languages. ICT is a motivate means which makes the process of learning more interesting and fascinating, offers a wide range of multimedia means which allow to diversify educational process (for example, to use texts, charts, video, separately or combined, applying Power Point or an interactive board), gives an opportunity of intensive independent study. Web-technologies allow realizing the didactic principle of presentation at the expense of the wide application of multimedia – static and the dynamic (animated) graphics, video, sound. Technology of hypertext is one of the components of web technology which creates conditions for study to use different services of the Internet. The results of the research can be used in teaching such training courses as «Foreign language», «Foreign Language for Specific Purposes», «Business Foreign Language», «Practice of Oral and Written Speech (foreign languages)». It is determined that interactive, informative communication and web-technologies play an important role in expansion and improvement of foreign-language knowledge of the students and form students communicative skills. The prospects of the subsequent research consist in creation of the personal focused innovative technologies which would open individual abilities of the student.

The basic aim of this paper is to investigate the impact that educational level of individuals and participation in training programmes (apprenticeship, intra-firm training, continuing vocational training, popular training) have on their job prospects in Southern Greece (namely the regions of Southern Aegean and Crete) during the implementation of the first Community Support Framework (1989-1993). We also research the differences between the two regions under study and the entire country. We try to see whether the educational level itself and participation in training programmes increased the chances of finding a job. More specifically, we research what are the social and demographic characteristics that increase the chances of someone in the examined population finding a job, how those chances change (if they do) after the introduction of training courses and, also, whether University graduates, in contrast to most of the rest of the EU member states, face greater difficulties in finding a job than non-University graduates, as a series of studies for Greece conclude. To the author's knowledge, this is the first attempt to analyse individual anonymised records (micro-data) from the Labour Force Survey (LFS) for both employed and unemployed in those two regions at NUTS 2 level.

This paper aims to examine the challenges of and perceptions about promoting students’ learning, communication, and interaction via the Wiki tool in the blackboard platform. Wiki intends to sustain and advance students’ professional and personal skills, the former ones including reading, writing, research, information, critical thinking, decision making, technology, digital oral presentation, drawing (i.e. concept maps), teamwork, and languages, and the latter ones including motivation, leadership, negotiation, communication, problem solving, time management, reflection, self-management, and self-appraisal. Additionally, integrating Wiki in teaching and learning will improve students’ work performance, productivity, and self-confidence, as these skills are needed for not only the current study, but also the workplace in the future. Additionally, using this tool in teaching and learning, especially in the higher education, can bring some challenges to the lecturer and students, particularly in the presentation and marking. This paper will discuss the Wiki implementation in the postgraduate unit at an Australian university. The study results confirmed that using Wiki in the postgraduate unit at an Australian university enhanced students’ personal and professional skills; in addition, students learned and absorbed the new concepts and cutting-edge-knowledge of the ITS65 unit, i.e. sustainability and Green IT.

The main objective of the paper is threefold: first, to examine the role of physical attractiveness in the labour market in the broader context of economic and sociological theory; second, to assess gender differences in returns to beauty; and third, to show that the empirical evidence on gender differences in returns to beauty that has to date prevailingly come from North America cannot be applied to Europe without further examination. We use data from the first large-scale sociological survey focusing on physical attractiveness carried out in Europe and in particular from the follow-up to the Czech national survey of adult competencies (PIAAC). First, using structural modelling to identify differences in how men and women transform family background, formal education, competencies, socio-economic status of occupation and physical attractiveness into income, we found strong evidence in support of the hypothesis that, in general, physically more attractive people have better chance of obtaining a higher socio-economic status occupations, and higher incomes than less attractive people, but the causalities are different for men and women. Second, replicating the linear regression models applied to North American data we assessed the differences in returns to beauty between Czech men and women and found that, unlike in North America, in the Czech Republic the income premium for beauty is markedly higher among women than men, while men capitalise on their attractiveness more in the area of occupational status. We conclude that while returns to beauty are culturally universal, gender differences in these returns are culturally specific.

The article deals with the retrospective analysis of the approaches to the problem of the effective intercultural dialogue as an open and respectful interaction between individuals, groups and organizations with different cultural backgrounds or world views. The essence of the notion of «linguosociocultural competence» as a сomplex and multicomponent phenomenon is investigated. The components of linguosociocultural competence, which include sociolinguistic, sociocultural and social subcompetences are systematized. Each of the subcompetences is seen as a set of particular knowledge, skills, awareness and availability to act as a member of effective intercultural communication. The aims and tasks of forming linguosociocultural competence of students of higher educational institutions are singled out. The main objectives of forming linguosociocultural competence of students of higher educational institutions, who learn English as the specialty are specified. These objectives include showing the understanding of socio-cultural aspects of the English-speaking world, showing knowledge of the customs and culture of the English-speaking world within the topics studied, increasing socio-cultural knowledge and skills, developing strategies for looking at the English-speaking culture from the inside. The necessity of teaching understanding non-verbal signals in the process of forming of linguosociocultural competence is proved. Non-verbal signals are defined as the meaningful movements of a person, including gestures, mimics, pantomimics, changes of personal space, distance, particularities of voice and the specific static details as clothing, style of hairdo, accessories, jewelry, tattoos etc. It is proved that bearing implicit great meaning, those non-verbal signals mentioned should be taken into consideration. The whole number of non-verbal symbols as the non-verbal behavior of a person expresses psychological states of a person, his/her attitude to the partner and to the situation in which the conversation takes place in general. The problem is that in the Curriculum for English Language Development in Universities and Institutes the problem of forming linguosociocultural competence is stated in general, when the specific tasks, which concern non-verbal signals in the process of communication, are not specified. Thus, the article is aimed at observing the problem of understanding of non-verbal signals in the process of forming linguosociocultural competence.

The paper addresses the problem of raising efficacy of a university lecturer and professor of the day. It investigates the advanced pedagogical experience of the developed countries in professional training of the faculty for higher education and updating their professional skills. It aims at both an educational policy-maker, a university administrator and a lecturer who develops the policy of the higher educational establishment concerning the reforms in the curriculum, introduction of new effective teaching methods and research techniques able to motivate the students to reach the objectives of higher education in Ukraine. The previous studies of Ukrainian researchers in the sphere have shown a gap between the requirements set to the university faculty and the out-of-date system of professional training in Ukraine. It results that the students who can afford studying in foreign universities choose to cross the borders to get a degree, which will guarantee their employability. It is also found that while the educational reforms urgency completion is stressed their success implies changing both external and internal factors influencing the process at different levels, from a lecturer internal motivation to the state political, economic and cultural reforms. However, there is no recent research on the objectives that should be targeted at when constructing an up-to-date training program for university lecturers and those who have to carry out the reforms. The current study has sought to present qualitative analysis of the research data collected by our foreign counterparts in the countries with evidently higher educational standards and advanced pedagogical practices to realize the contemporary requirements to lecturers, their professional expertise, skills and abilities so that to review the content and forms of training process in Ukraine and set new objectives. The findings have revealed that a university lecturer and professor should possess a much broader set of skills and an ability to perform social roles that have not been considered in professional training under the previous régimes. The practical applications of the research are new goals that have to be set in progressive curricula to train a highly skilled educator to keep pace with the developed world and compete in the world market of higher education.

In the article the psychological and pedagogical features of the formation the practical skills of the students are analysed. The number of pedagogical conditions under which the practical vocational training is effectively done are analyzed. It is revealed that the students’ independent work, their activities during the practical and hands-on labs, technology, production practices meet the above conditions. The article emphasizes the inadmissibility of the substitution rate of technical disciplines humanitarian. The training of engineers- teachers should be implemented by a deep integration of technical and pedagogical education. It is identified that control of knowledge, abilities and skills of the students is one of the most important elements of the educational process. Education cannot be completed without an objective and constant information about the level of knowledge of the students as they have learned how to solve practical problems, without considering how the students perceive, understand and remember the material, how to use theoretical knowledge practical life. Despite the numerous studies on the dependence of time of learning from the flow speed of the psychophysical processes, you can come to the conclusion that the best form of control for students is self-control and self-regulation. The analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature and regulatory documents on the organization of educational process in higher educational institutions, by structuring the learning material we mean: combining individual elements of the content, building structural-logical scheme of the sequence having mastered these techniques, standardization of educational material, selection of works on practical training. The author has identified the main teaching conditions of the professional skills of engineers-teachers: didactically structured content; the use of a limited number of visual aids; high motivation of the student workload; consideration of individual and age characteristics of the students; students’ independence in search of ways to solve the tasks provided effective teacher’s control and self-control.To intensify training activities can be done by using the following methods: analysis and solving production problems, business games, which are important in modern conditions of transition education on market conditions.
