The article gets itself into the preaching of the Pope Francis, thanks to which we are experiencing the Jubily of Mercy. While preparing the Holly Year, as well as during its duration, prisoners are taking a special position in it. The concern of those who experience the restriction of their freedom is characterized by, since the very beginning, the Pope Francis’s pontificate. The analysis of the Pope Francis’s preaching directed to those imprisoned in the prisons makes it possible to isolate the main topics: the rule of christcentrism, emphesizing the dignity of every human being and the call for social re-integration. It is worth having a close look in order to experience the Jubilee of Mercy in a more fructuous way.

What Pope Francis describes as “the culture of temporariness” are all the changes taking place in communities and the broad anthropological and cultural context of the Western world. According to the pope, they include new ways of creating and maintaining relations, zapping, consumerism, individualism, the culture of rejection, unemployment, and NEET generation. In search for the Church’s response to secularization, the authors decided to explore Pope Francis’ instructions addressed to young people concerning marital and family life in the era of the current culture of temporariness. This is the major research objective of the article. To achieve it, using the method of literature review covering the topic, the authors first present the manifestations of the culture of temporariness among young people. Next, the consequences of the culture of temporariness in catechesis for marriages and families are indicated. In the last part of the paper, Pope Francis’s instructions for young people regarding the threats of the culture of temporariness in their lives and activities of marriages and families are elaborated on.

While analyzing the teaching and attitudes of Pope Francis, we decided to devote this article to the issue of inclusion. Considering the sphere of our interests – education, broadly understood – we focused on the inclusion of students coming from abroad, in the education system in Poland. In our publication, we rely on legal regulations, the results of research and control carried out by the Supreme Audit Office in the field of education of children of foreigners and Polish citizens returning to the country, studies by  researchers of the above-mentioned issues, and we discuss a case study. The conclusions are clear: there are more and more students coming from abroad into Polish schools; despite declarations, schools are not fully prepared for their admission when all responsibility for the organization of education rests with school principals and teachers. The role of pedagogical supervision in this respect is insufficient. It is worth paying special attention to practical guidelines for teachers in order to effectively implement the pedagogy of inclusion.

The article discusses the characteristics of a philosophical and cultural dispute with metaphysics and about metaphysics itself. The criticism of metaphysics and its revival in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries is discussed here. In the first part, the most important philosophical directions dealing with issues of metaphysics are presented: metaphysical idealism, anti-metaphysical positivism and neo-positivism, analytic philosophy versus metaphysics on the example of L. Wittgenstein, the revision of the metaphysical tradition and new investigations in metaphysics. The second part of the article concerns the picture of natural metaphysics including the mathematical-empirical method of researching the world. In the conclusion of the article, a thesis is put forward on searching for new metaphysics which will include a wider sphere of rationality and existential and spiritual experience.

Gaining communication competencies is a very important part of the development of young people. Such skills like emotional intelligence, empathy and assertiveness are in the scope of interest of catechists and catechetics. First, the authors of the article try to define communication competence. Then they point at emotional intelligence, empathy and assertiveness as essential elements in the process of education and upbringing of children and youth. Defining and elaborating on these skills showed their importance in the process of education. Numerous practical hints contained in the article may become an inspiration for parents and teachers to search new ways of educational activity.

The authors deal with the reflection over the subject of the educational dimension of preparing the detained ones in penitentiaries for confirmation in the context of the process of resocialization. The total lack of studies concerning the subject is a chance to show the anthropological assumptions of the preparation, the characterization of the potential candidates to receive the sacrament, and presenting the educational aims of the undertaken activities. The authors suggest the educational contents, the forms and models of the priests’ work and adequately prepared volunteers with the detained ones craving to receive the sacrament of the Christian maturity. The penitentiary priesthood, including the preparation the candidates for confirmation, enters into the process of the resociolization of the detained ones.

Autorzy artykułu podejmują refleksję naukową nad wykorzysta-niem multimediów w edukacji przedszkolnej. Na podstawie przykładu Szkoły Podstawowej z Jednostkami Przedszkolnymi nr 26 w Dąbrowie Górniczej przed-stawiają zalety korzystania z tablicy interaktywnej podczas zajęć. Relacjonują wyniki badań własnych, przeprowadzonych wśród nauczycieli przedszkolnych. Wskazują także na nieuchronność korzystania z multimediów w procesie peda-gogiczno-dydaktycznym.

The authors of the article undertake an academic reflection on using the multimedia in pre-school education. On the bases of the example of the 26th Prima-ry School with Pre-school Units in Dąbrowa Górnicza, the advantages of using the interactive board during classes have been presented. The results of the Authors’ own research carried out among pre-school teachers, have been presented. The inevitabi-lity of using the multimedia in the pedagogic-didactic process has been pointed out.
