W pracy przedstawiono stanowisko badawcze nowej konstrukcji pozwalające na wyznaczenie charakterystyk zagęszczania i pomiaru nacisku bocznego w dwóch kierunkach płaszczyzny prostopadłej do nacisku normalnego. Wykonano pomiary nacisku bocznego dla wybranych materiałów ziarnistych o różnych właściwościach takich jak: koncentrat miedzi, bentonity, iły, węgiel koksujący, popiół, pucolana trociny drzewne słoma zbóż. Wyniki przedstawiono w postaci graficznej jako zależność współczynnika nacisku bocznego i nacisku normalnego. Podano interpretacje wyników oraz przykłady ich zastosowań.

A new construction of experimental setup that enables the determination of characteristic curves of compacting and side thrust measurements in two directions of the plane orthogonal to axial thrust are presented in the paper. The measurements of side thrust for chosen granular materials of different properties such as copper concentrate, bentonites, clays, coking coal, fly ashes, pozzolana, pine sawdust and com straw were carried out. The results are shown as a plot of the dependence between the side thrust factor and axial thrust. Interpretation of results and examples of their application are given.

W pracy przedstawiono wyniki badań wpływu wysokości komory zagęszczania oraz temperatury procesu na wartości nacisków wywieranych przez zagęszczany materiał na ściankę otwartej komory zagęszczania. Do badań wykorzystano mieszankę paszową pełnoporcjową DK-Finiszer o wilgotności 16%. Badania procesu zagęszczania przeprowadzono na stanowisku badawczym SS-3, wyposażonym w specjalną komorę zagęszczania, która pozwoliła na wyznaczenie wartości nacisków bocznych (promieniowych) na różnej wysokości od wyjścia z komory zagęszczania, a także wpływu temperatury procesu na wartości nacisków bocznych. Uzyskane wyniki badań pozwoliły stwierdzić, że wraz ze zbliżaniem się do dna matrycy w trakcie zagęszczania następuje spadek nacisków bocznych oddziałujących na ścianki komory zagęszczania, a zwiększenie temperatury procesu od 20 do 90oC powoduje spadek wartości nacisków bocznych na różnych wysokościach matrycy.

The paper presents the results of the research on the influence of the densification chamber height and the temperature of the process on the value of the pressures exerted by the thickened material on the wall of the opened densification chamber. The fodder mixture DK-Finiszer of 16 % moisture was used in the research. The research on the densification process was conducted on the research stand SS-3, equipped in the special densification chamber which allowed determination of the value of the side thrust at the various height from the exit of the densification chamber as well as the influence of the process temperature on the value of side thrusts. Due to the obtained research results it was possible to conclude that along with the approaching to the bottom of the matrix during the densification process the decrease of side thrusts influencing the side wall of the densification chamber from 20 to 90 oC at various heights of the matrix occurs.

Przedstawiono wyniki badań naporu poziomego ziaren pszenicy o zawartości wody 0,136, 0,190 i 0,250 kg/kg s.m. na ściany silosu o smukłości 10 oraz 16. Zastosowano czas przechowywania 20 dni. Udowodniono, że wybrane czynniki mają istotny wpływ na wartość naporu, który opisano za pomocą równań regresji.

Paper presented the investigation results concerning the side thrust of wheat grain of the moisture content (dry basis) 0.136, 0.190, 0.250 kg/kg DM, on the walls of a silo of slenderness ratio of 10 and 16. The storage duration was 20 days. It was proved the selected factors significantly affected the value of thrust what was described by regression equations.
