Method of Determining the Minimum Breaking Strength of the Mustard Seed Coat

This paper proposes a method for determining the breaking strength and the resulting deformations of the mustard seed coat. A compression test stand for determining breaking strength and seed coat deformations was described. The results of the experiment were processed and analyzed.

W pracy zaprezentowano badania wpływu zmienionej konstrukcji i relacji narzędzia roboczego w rozdrabniaczu precyzyjnym na stopień rozdrobnienia gorczycy, zachowując jednocześnie w produkcie rozdrobnienia związki eteryczne na poziomie materiału wsadowego. Przeprowadzone badania pozwalają na dalszą modyfikację narzędzia i procesu dla potrzeb rozdrabniania innych materiałów, również nieorganicznych.

An influence of the change of working tool relation and construc- tion in a precise grinder on the mustard seed grinding level un- der condition of maintaining the same level of ether compounds in the finał and initial product is presented in the paper. The tests conducted allow further modifications in the tool and pro- cess for the needs of grinding other type, also non-organic mate- rials.

Przedstawiono wybrane wyniki badań procesu rozdrabniania nasion o dużej zawartości tłuszczu, na przykładzie gorczycy białej. Doświadczenia wcześniejsze, w rozdrabnianiu nasion lnu rozdrab-niaczem precyzyjnym (zgłoszenie patentowe 374473), ukazały pewne zależności konstrukcji i procesu, których poznanie wymaga doświadczeń z innymi nasionami o dużej zawartości tłuszczu.

Selected results of high-fat mustard seed crushing process have been presented. Earlier experiences in flax seed crushing using the precise crusher (374473 standard application) have shown some constructional and process relationships, full knowledge of which requires experiments with other high-fat seeds.
