W artykule omówione zostały procesy logistyczne zachodzące wewnątrz morskiego terminala kontenerowego od momentu przyjęcia ładunku, do momentu jego wydania, zarówno w procesie eksportu, jak i importu. Zwrócono uwagę na urządzenia transportu wewnętrznego, które manipulują ładunkiem oraz na ilość koniecznych operacji od punktu przyjęcia kontenera do punktu wydania. W związku z licznymi procesami zachodzącymi wewnątrz terminala, opierającymi się na wykorzystaniu systemów teleinformatycznych, przeprowadzono charakterystykę typowego systemu do zarządzania terminalem TOS (Terminal Operating System) oraz wskazano ich liczne funkcje oraz zalety. Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie zalet i korzyści płynących ze stosowania systemów typu TOS.

The article explains and discusses the logistic processes occuring inside a maritime container terminal. The processes relate to import as well as export of the goods. A brief characteristics of the handling equipment, such as: Automated Guided Vehicle, Rail Mounted Gantry Crane, Rubber Tyred Gantry Crane and Ship-to-shore crane has been carried out. During the internal transportation of the containers within the terminal, all the procedures must integrate together. Due to large number of processes taking place in terminals, they base on operating systems such as: Terminal Operating Systems. The characteristics of TOS operating in polish container terminals has been performed. The TOS are IT tools facilitating management of the terminal and leading to improve its efficiency and effectiveness. The purpose of the article is to highlight advantages and benefits of using systems such as TOS.

This paper will illustrate the impact of telematics tools on safety of participants in road traffic which is vital. The latest technology and ideas enable the construction of safe roads. The discussion in Poland about safety on roads is significant as this country has one of the highest rates of road accidents in the European Union. The paper considers safety issues of participants in road traffic and the influence of road infrastructure on safety as well as the use of telematics tools for improving safety. The analyses will make use of the data provided by the literature on safety in Europe, Poland and Lower Silesia which will illustrate the scale of the problem and indicate possible solutions and the use of telematics technologies. The research is based on the two cities: Wałbrzych i Toruń.

The article discussed the current market situation transport sector in Poland, and also set the current position of the companies providing services within the TSL market. In addition, also it presented the changes that have been made within the transport and infrastructure after the Polish accession to the European Union. The main purpose was to discuss ways to manage logistics processes in transport enterprises on the example of the enterprise in the transport sector. The study used thriving company providing services in the field of TSL (Transport Forwarding Logistics) on the Polish market and internationally.

The article discussed the analysis of the causes and effects of defects in the selected logistics process. It showed the process map and identified the factors influencing the process. It established evaluation criteria and calculated the risk priority number for the diagnosed failures. It proposed corrective actions to reduce the size of the risk.

Procesy logistyczne w toku realizacji przedsięwzięć budowlanych, stanowią istotny element systemu produkcji budowlanej. Zatem winny być postrzegane jako determinanta sukcesu tych przedsięwzięć. Trzeba jednak zauważyć znaczącą rolę przedsiębiorstw budowlanych, jako wykonawców robót budowlanych. O szczególnym splocie celów przedsięwzięć i ich wykonawców – przedsiębiorstw budowlanych – decyduje specyfika produkcji budowlanej. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie charakteru produkcji budowlanej, realizowanej na placach budowy, w której procesy logistyczne mają szczególną rolę. W celu zdiagnozowania sposobu prowadzenia procesów logistycznych przeprowadzono badania ankietowe 55 przedsiębiorstw budowlanych. Badania wykazały znaczące uczestnictwo przedsiębiorstw budowlanych w prowadzeniu procesów logistycznych, a co za tym idzie ponoszenie w dużej mierze kosztów logistycznych i podejmowanie ryzyka logistycznego. Metoda „just in time” jest wprowadzana w celu minimalizacji czasu realizacji przedsięwzięć budowlanych. Z kolei jako największe zagrożenie wynikające ze stosowania tej metody przedsiębiorcy wskazywali trudności w synchronizacji harmonogramów budowlanych i harmonogramów dostaw zasobów produkcyjnych.

Logistics processes are an essential component of the construction projects. Therefore, they should be treated as a determinant success of these projects. It should be noticed an important role of construction companies, as building contractors. About particular connection between project targets and targets of the project contractors - construction enterprises - decides a specificity of the building production. An aim of the article is to present a character of the construction industry, implemented on construction sites, in which logistics processes play a special role. In order to study a way of conducting logistics processes it was conducted 55 surveys of construction companies. The research has revealed a significant participation of the construction companies in conducting logistics processes, and thus covering the costs of logistics and taking the risk of logistics. A "just in time" (JIT) method is used in order to minimize duration of construction projects. On the other hand, as the greatest threat coming from a use of this method, companies indicated the difficulties in synchronization of construction schedules and delivery schedules of production resources.

W opracowaniu opisano aktualny przebieg procesu zaopatrzenia, a następnie dokonano analizy istniejącego stanu procesu zaopatrzenia. Po dogłębnej analizie, zaproponowano usprawnienia w postaci automatyzacji poziomu kontroli zapasów oraz zrezygnowania z transportu własnego surowców, niezbędnych do produkcji, od dostawców w celu zminimalizowania ponoszonych kosztów.

The article concerns the analysis of the current supply process in the selected company from the construction industry. Examined company is engaged in manufacturing asphalt mix. The study describes the current process of supply, and then analyzes the current state of the procurement process. After careful consideration, it is proposed to improve the level of automation in the form of inventory control and abandon their own transport raw materials required to manufacture, from suppliers to minimize costs.

This paper describes the process of forwarding biomass in technical perspective, taking into account the various stages of the organization of the transport process, as well as pointing out the role of shipping companies in the various phases of the carriage of cargo. Presented electronic freight exchanges as a tool to support the activities of shipping companies, describing their capabilities on the example of freight exchanges Trans.eu and Timocom. In addition, it describes the functions of shippers in the transport of biomass and other charges, as well as the tasks of all participants in the transport process organization.

Artykuł jest wynikiem badań nad identyfikacją modeli procesów produkcyjnych w warunkach założeń nieklasycznych dla potrzeb zarządzania jakością wyrobów. Przedstawiono w nim propozycje zastosowania modeli wykorzystywanych w statystycznym sterowaniu procesami do oceny i kontroli procesów logistycznych. Omówiono klasyczny model i wskaźniki przyjmujące za punkt wyjścia założenie o rozkładzie normalnym cech procesu. Zaproponowano własną klasyfikację i wynikający z niej zbiór modeli dający możliwość bardziej precyzyjnego wyznaczania ich zdolności. Klasyfikacja ta wynika z zaleceń normy ISO 21747:2006 wprowadzającej modele dla procesów niestacjonarnych. Scharakteryzowano metody wyznaczania wydajności procesu w przypadku tej klasy procesów.

This paper is the result of research for identification of production processes models in terms of nonclassical assumptions for the quality management of products. It sets out propositions for the use of the models used in statistical control of the processes for the evaluation and control of logistic processes. It’s discussed the classical model and indicators taking as a starting point the assumption of a characteristics normal distribution of the process. Own classification was proposed with set of models resulting from it giving the possibility for a more precise determination of their ability. This classification follows the recommendations of ISO 21747:2006 norm introducing models for non-stationary processes. Methods for determining the performance of the process in case of this class of the processes were characterized.

Ensuring the safety of logistic processes realization in the supply chain has become a requirement and necessity for all its participants. This is not an easy undertaking, since the range of threats that could disrupt logistic activities is broad and multifaceted. Only full identification of hazards and efficient counteractions through effective management will ensure the supply chain continuity. These problems are discussed in this article, divided into three chapters, preceded by an introduction and summarized in the end.

Wykazano w jakim stopniu zmniejszają się koszty jednostkowe transportu przy wykorzystaniu taboru o dużej zdolności przewozowej. Skalkulowano jakie są koszty transportu w towarze, który dociera do odbiorcy zależnie od zastosowanego środka transportu i od przebytej odległości. Pokazano jakie środki transportu należy wykorzystywać aby koszty jednostkowe były jak najniższe.

The article presents the influence of means of transport on the costs of the transport process. It has been pointed out to what extent the unit costs of transport are reducing using fleet of large capacity. The costs of transport in the commodity, which reaches the recipient depending on the means of transport and of the distance traveled, have been calculated. The article also shows what kind of means of transport should be used to make the transport unit costs the lowest ones.

The paper presents the results of survey research of 300 Polish small and medium enterprises. The project "The prototype of e-business service platform" was realized in cooperation with MaxElectronik company as a part of “Initech” Ministry of Science and Higher Education and founded by the National Centre for Research and Development based on the contract ZPB/8/67012/IT2/10. The research was focused on the identification of business process automation level. To analyze the automation level, the following business processes are identified: sales process, logistic process, human resource management process, financial management process. The main goal of the research was analyze of possibilities time reduction of the processes by implementation SAAS system (software as a service) in the enterprise. In the article only a part of the research is presented that is concerned with the automation of logistic process in small and medium enterprises.

Artykuł przedstawia wyniki badań ankietowych 300 małych i średnich polskich przedsiębiorstw. Badania były realizowane w ramach projektu "Prototyp Platformy Usług e-Biznesowych" realizowanym w ramach Przedsięwzięcia Ministra Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego "IniTech", finansowanym przez Narodowe Centrum Badań i Rozwoju w ramach umowy ZPB/8/67012/IT2/10 we współpracy z firmą Max Elektronik SA. Badania obejmowały między innymi analizę procesów w obszarze finansów, sprzedaży, logistyki, zarządzania personelem, opracowanie modeli procesów biznesowych dedykowanych sektorowi MŚP, analizy ilościowe stopnia automatyzacji oraz zapotrzebowania na automatyzację procesów biznesowych.
