In the paper, modelling of minimum warehousing service length ways was presented. Modelling procedures was based on Floyd algorithm with warehouse representation which is made by a set of specified warehouse working points determined storage locations as: palette racks, shelf racks, block racks or temporary distribution points making interoperating buffer of material input / outputs as well as warehousing zones and a whole warehouse operations. A main goal of carried out considerations was finding of warehouse operating ways and correspondent them the shorts service times. This was done using original computer program allowing the automatic operations, which for increasing the accuracy of evaluation are taking into consideration the arc curves of operating ways for specified warehousing points.

W artykule przedstawiono metodę modelowania minimalnych długości dróg serwisowych w magazynach wysokiego składowania. Procedury modelowania oparto o algorytm Floyda odnoszony do charakterystycznych, roboczych punktów magazynowych zadawanych czasowym składowaniem i strefami przeładunkowych operacji składowanych materiałów. Celem prowadzonych analiz było wyznaczenie w łańcuchach operacji dróg serwisowych zapewniających najkrótsze czasy obsługi. Dokonano tego przez opracowanie oryginalnych programów komputerowych, które pozwoliły na dokładniejsze analizy m.in. przez uwzględnianie łuków dróg serwisowania dla charakterystycznych rejonów magazynów.

An excessively strict level of reducing the emission of greenhouse gases is a serious challenge to broadly understood logistics. Alternative ideas for reducing the emission of toxic substances in the area of supply chains are sought. Will the Physical Internet, a brave and right idea, be one of the answers? Persuading companies into cooperation and creating innovative technological solutions in the PI-nodes of individual levels are, however, a question of strategic significance, to be settled in the long years to come. The assumed level of reduction of greenhouse gases "cannot wait that long". Implementing the idea of the Physical Internet is a tempting proposition in terms of environmentally sustainable logistics, but in a (very) long term.

The paper presents a case study of one of the picking zones of real Polish logistics centre of automotive parts and accessories. The aim of the study was to compare the effectiveness of different order-picking methods. The work organization in the warehouse was briefly presented. Then different routing methods in the one block rectangular warehouse were described (heuristics and optimal algorithm). The paper compares different variants of order-picking process and presents their ranking. The graphs of cumulative distribution functions of order-picking time may help the survey. The analysis was based on real data. Calculations were performed using a simulation with the use of Warehouse Real-Time Simulator.

Also identified internal factors influencing the cost of storage and the ability to significantly reduce them by introducing specific technical, technological and organizational activities.

The article presents a discussion on designing warehouse facilities and processes as a part of logistics systems. The main technical and organizational conditions of designing and modelling warehouses as well as internal and external factors influencing warehouse operation are presented. The stochastic nature of these factors is indicated. In the next part, a six-piece model of the warehouse facility is presented and discussed. The model embraces spatial conditions of the object and hierarchical division of space for functional reasons, internal transport subsystem with its resources, warehousing process and a set of organizational assumptions for modelling and designing. Typical elements of warehousing process, classification of warehouses due to their functions and tasks, functional classification of warehouse facilities, technological and organizational conditions of designing warehouse facilities, warehouse designing loop, the determinants of warehouse designing, the elements of the model of a warehouse, functional structure of a warehouse, warehousing process, internal transport system, logistics task, work organization rules and informatics system are presented in the paper.

The article presents classification of automatic identification and data acquisition techniques (AIDC) as well as techniques for indoor positioning of objects supporting logistic processes, including especially warehousing processes. The use of presented solutions and the possibility of combining AIDC technics with indoor positioning systems to increase the efficiency of logistics processes in warehouses were discussed. This combination can make a tool supporting rational decision making for allocation of idling employees and vehicles to warehouse tasks and reducing empty runs on the base of position analyse. Then, the idea of using popular AIDC devices − mobile terminals with and without RFID scanners to track the position of employees was presented and discussed. Mobile terminals can provide information about position, which can be used for the allocation of tasks (the reverse functions of mobile terminals). Review of AIDC techniques in warehouses and industrial facilities, information flow in AIDC techniques, positioning techniques in a closed space, Resources positioning and the efficiency of the warehouse process, typical and new approaches to positioning resources in warehouse, the reverse function of mobile terminals are presented in the article.

The paper proposes a new approach to the agglomeration of data in cluster analysis. These approach faces the problem of data classification where under the same conditions different conclusions are draw. Such problems occur in many areas of daily life: medicine, technology, and economic and social sciences and economics. The new approach assumes that events like the harvest are attributed to the cumulative probability of their occurrence at the same time. Such approaches will not be found in probability. Thanks to the mathematical theory of records fairly accurate classification of the object can be provided. The paper presents a method of agglomeration of measurement data using the mathematical theory of records. This is the method which can be used in the cluster analysis by agglomeration.

The article discusses the theoretical principles of statistical research with regard to the national market of logistics services during wartime. The system of statistical indicators of the research of the logistics services market is structured through the allocation of separate blocks of indicators by priority of their estimation in war conditions. The market of logistics services of Ukraine is characterised by selected blocks of indicators. The paper identifies the main structural changes that occurred due to the hostilities faced by the country. Moreover, the authors determine the main factors influencing the functioning of the analysed market during war, as the statistical study of these factors is considered necessary for the transformation and development of logistics services. It is substantiated that taking into account such statistical indicators as the level and availability of logistics infrastructure, security, the human factor and changes in legislation are likely to result in a new alternative direction of logistics routes and contribute to the development of the logistics services market in general. The authors proposed the construction of a centralised electronic service (or several services) with the purpose of consolidating information about the logistics infrastructure. The software system should offer the option of an operational interactive visualisation.

In the face of challenges faced by today’s managers, such as unreliability of processes conducted within the company, low quality of materials, too long time of fulfilling the customer orders and missing the deadlines of their implementation, the role of dynamic parameters of the warehousing as the source of competitive advantage of a modern enterprise is growing. The aim of the study is to identify and analyze the factors determining the effective implementation of the warehousing in the Distribution Center. In the research there has been adopted the following hypothesis: with the increase in the number of customer orders, which is characterized by an increasingly smaller number of assortment items, the importance of managing constraints limiting the material flow within the warehousing is increasing. The above-mentioned hypothesis is verified in accordance with the test procedure including literature research and a case study. The research results show that the Theory of Constraints is an excellent tool supporting the transformation of the warehouse management method. With the help of the Theory of Constraints it is possible to determine precisely the places in the material flow, where the adaptation actions undertaken bring down the greatest effects.

Postępująca integracja przedsiębiorstw w łańcuchach logistycznych oraz rozwój systemów informatycznych wspomagających zarządzanie łańcuchami dostaw determinują poszukiwanie nowych, opartych na naukowych podstawach, metod oceny systemu logistycznego przedsiębiorstw. Audit 9A stanowi dopełnienie powszechnie stosowanych w praktyce metod oceny ekonomicznej przedsiębiorstwa. Wieloaspektowa ocena przedsiębiorstwa, połączona z przekrojową analizą wielkości i wartości uzyskanych informacji, pozwala na przeprowadzenie procesu wnioskowania opartego na miernikach mierzalnych i weryfikowalnych. Badanie rachunku kosztów logistycznych jest istotnym elementem Auditu logistycznego. Audit 9A został wykorzystany do oceny systemu logistycznego przedsiębiorstwa produkcyjno – handlowego działającego w branży chemicznej notowanego na GPW.

Multifaceted assessment of the company, combined with cross-analyzing of the volume and value of the information allows to make conclusions based on measurable and verifiable measures. The study of logistics cost is an essential element of the logistics audit. Audit 9A was used to assess the logistics system for production companies - operating in the commercial chemical industry listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

W artykule przedstawiono problemy projektowe i organizacyjne dotyczące terminali cross-dockingowych. Zdefiniowano pojęcie cross-dockingu i dokonano przeglądu literatury w zakresie metod projektowania i organizacji pracy terminali cross-dockingowych. Następnie zidentyfikowano problem wzajemnego rozmieszczenia pól relacyjnych na wejściu i na wyjściu z obiektu i możliwość zmniejszenia pracochłonności procesu cross-dockingowego poprzez odpowiednie wzajemne ustawienie tych pól. Sformułowano model matematyczny problemu i przedstawiono algorytm jego rozwiązania wykorzystujący metody ewolucyjne. Przedstawiono wyniki eksperymentów obliczeniowych oraz podsumowanie i wnioski.

Article presents selected designing and organizational issues related to cross-docking terminals. The term cross-docking was defined and proper literature review within designing and organizational methods was provided. Then the problem of mutual arrangement of relational areas on terminal entrance and on exit was identified as well as possible labor savings to be achieved through proper arrangement of these areas. The exact mathematical model was formulated and supported by solution algorithm based on evolutionary methods. Necessary results were presented, discussed and concluded.

Ich struktura, jak również sposób i zakres realizacji zależą od rodzaju obiektu logistycznego i postaci oraz zakresu jego zadania logistycznego. Podstawowe założenia przedstawione w referacie zostaną wykorzystane do budowy matematycznych modeli symulacyjnych przepływu materiałów w określonych typach obiektów logistycznych.

Paper presents basic assumptions for modelling warehouse processes in different types of logistic facilities. These processes are mapped as sequences of warehousing phases, warehouse tasks, material transformations, warehouse operations and activities. Their structure, as well as manner and range of implementation are dependent on type of logistic facility and its main logistic task. Basic assumptions presented in the paper will be used to build a mathematical simulation model of the materials flow in certain types of logistics facilities.

Na podstawie obserwacji funkcjonowania rzeczywistego magazynu operatora logistycznego został opracowany model pozwalający analizować sposoby przemieszczania magazyniera kompletującego ładunki i ich alokację w strefie kompletacyjnej. Celem badań było sprawdzenie, jaki wpływ na całkowity czas komisjonowania ma wybór strategii rozmieszczania produktów na półkach i strategie przemieszczania magazyniera dokonującego kompletacji ładunków. Celem pośrednim było rozpoznanie udziału procentowego czasów operacji występujących w procesie komisjonowania.

Order picking is a process observed in every type of logistics hub. This process is very laborious and every activity, which is included in it, should be well organized. On the basis of the observation of a warehouse, which belongs to a logistic operator, a model, which allows to analyze the way of a warehouseman picking products and their allocation in the order picking zone, has been developed. To verify what influence on order picking time has got the choice of a strategy determining the product placement on pallet racks and a strategy determining the way of moving a warehouseman through a warehouse, was the main goal of the research. To determine what is the percentage share of operations in the whole process was a sub-goal of the research.

The aim of this research is to improve a warehousing process. Its operations are characterized by deterministic and stochastic parameters. In such circumstances, the classical approaches based on deterministic methods leading to better performance of the process would not provide the expected results. Thus, the authors propose the methodology of process improvement. Introduction of a new technical equipment and reassignment of tasks to employees was proposed. The problem has been solved, providing significant improvement of the warehousing process. The proposed methodology of simulation-based process improvement has been proposed and verified. The process map created as the result of process analysis facilitates and accelerates the simulation model construction. The possibility to reflect random values brings the model closer to reality and increases the credibility of results.

Przedstawiono czynniki wewnętrzne i zewnętrzne wpływające na pracę magazynu, które powinny mieć swoje odzwierciedlenie w modelu. Wskazano na stochastyczny charakter tych czynników. Następnie przedstawiono i omówiono sześcio-elementowy formalny model magazynu odzwierciedlający warunki przestrzenne obiektu i hierarchiczny podział przestrzeni ze względów funkcjonalnych, system transportu wewnętrznego odzwierciedlający zasoby pracy, proces magazynowy, system przekształcania informacji, zadanie logistyczne obiektu oraz zbiór założeń organizacyjnych niezbędnych do modelowania magazynu.
