During investigation of the oldest registers of the Pilsner region originating in the 17th and 18th century, larger amount of hypocorisms with -rle suffix has been found. As far as the male bynames are concerned, ascertained cases are besides several exceptions very similar to those examples mentioned in literature. Larger amount of hypocorisms with -rle suffix of female names has been found as well. These cases are not mentioned in any available publication. Majority of cases researched was derived from names Barbora and Kateřina – Babrle and Katrle, only once hypocorisms of names Eva (Evrle) and Anna, Anča (Anrle) have been noticed.

Deep understanding of microprocessor architecture, its internal structure and mechanics of its work is essential for engineers in the fields like computer science, integrated circuit design or embedded systems (including microcontrollers). Usually the CPU architecture is presented at the level of ISA, functional decomposition of the chip and data flows. In this paper we propose more tangible, interactive and effective approach to present the CPU microarchitecture. Based on the recent advancements in simulation of MOS6502, one of the most successful microprocessor of all times, that started the personal computing revolution, we present the CPU visualisation framework. The framework supports showing CPU internals at various levels (from single transistor, through logic gates, ending with registers, operation decoders and ALU). It allows for execution of real code and detailed analysis of fetch–decode–execute cycle, measurement of cycles per operation or measurement of the CPU activity factor. The analysis means provided by this framework will also enable us to propose the transistor level simulation speed improvements to the model in the future.

The article deals with issues related to the description of polysemic units for supervised automatic translation of texts from French to Polish based on the object-oriented method by W. Banyś (AOO). Applying to the description additional tools allowing for the disambiguation - frames, scripts and register analysis - the author focuses on presenting the complexity of the description of lexical units. It should be stressed that the decision to assign meanings of such words one or another equivalents in the target language is determined by the criterion of preference. Some of the meanings of the word are easy to describe in such a way that the program can make a correct translation into the target language with a high degree of probability. However, there are often such meanings whose description is much more complex. The closer the meanings of the disambiguated words in the original and target language and the more similar the communication situation in which they are used, the more difficult it is to clearly indicate the boundaries between the meanings. In such cases, there is a much greater range of preferential character of the translation, which we have to adopt The French noun conjunction (f), chosen for analysis, reflects this phenomenon very well.

Transistor level simulation of the CPU, while very accurate, brings also the performance challenge. MOS6502 CPU simulation algorithm is analysed with several optimisation techniques proposed. Application of these techniques improved the transistor level simulation speed by a factor of 3–4, bringing it to the levels on par with fastest RTL-level simulations so far.

Between 1714 and 1715, enrollments in the registry of births in the parishes at the Plasy monastery document in 70-100 % of baptisms as first name Evženie or Evžen. It is certain that this phenomenon is related to abbot Evžen Tyttl. Perhaps in this way he was trying to leave behind a trail and he compensated to the parents their charges of baptism in the case that their child was named after him.

The edition of antemortem documents i.e. last wills, registers, financial liabilities accompanying acts of the last will drafted by burghers of Vilnius in the first half of the 18th century was abandoned by researchers in the last decades of the 19th century. The failure to explore Vilnius sources results in our poor knowledge concerning this group of inhabitants of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. Among the documents presented here there are last wills of four Orthodox burghers from Vilnius: Gabriel Chilimonowicz, Jan Juchnowicz, Eustachy Krupski, Jan Kossobucki and Jan Burakiewicz- a member of the Uniate Church. The last will of J. Juhnowicz was accompanied by a register of movables, which gives a fuller picture of the testator’s wealth and constitutes a rare “set” of antemortem documents of Orthodox inhabitants of Vilnius in the first half of the 18th century. Jan Kossobucki’s last will was published including the confirmation of the bequest for the congregation of St. John the Evangelist, which operated in the Church of the Holy Spirit in Vilnius. Printed documents reveal family relations of burghers and last wills’ being drafted on the basis of the Magdeburg law. They provide information not only about the material status of testators in the city tormented by war, fires and plagues, but also show their attitude towards the threatening phenomena. Antemortem documents present Eastern Orthodox and Uniate burghers of Vilnius as attached to their religion and supporting it financially.

English-language medical terminology can be occasionally confusing for translators as simultaneously both English-based and Latin-based (sometimes Greek-based) terms referring to the same disease are used. Additionally, synonymous English terms relating to the same phenomena can be employed. This may be potentially challenging, especially for inexperienced translators who are not sure which term should be selected in particular contexts. Such situations can be illustrated by the synonymous co-occurring and coexisting in relation to disorders and diseases, tumour and neoplasm, and cancer and neoplastic disease. Examining terminology mainly from the area of cardiology and nephrology, I would like to indicate that depending on various factors and the translator’s skopos, different terminology can be applied and also draw attention to the fact that medical language, like any natural language, develops; hence the change in terminology and preferences for specific terms.

We present a model and a core programming language appropriate for modeling and programming interactive computing systems. The model consists of rv-systems (interactive systems with registers and voices); it includes register machines, is space-time invariant, is compositional, may describe computations extending in both time and space, and is applicable to open, interactive systems. To achieve modularity in space the model uses voices (a voice is the time dual of a register) - they provide a high level organization of temporal data and are used to describe interaction interfaces of processes. The programming language uses novel techniques for syntax and semantics to support computation in space paradigm. We describe rv-programs and base their syntax and operational semantics on FIS-es (finite interactive systems) and their grid languages (a FIS is a kind of 2-dimensional automaton specifying both control and interaction used in rv-programs). We also present specification techniques for rv-systems, using relations between input registers and voices and their output counterparts. The paper includes simple specifications for an OO-system and for an interactive game.

Po trzecie, pomimo stosunkowo niskiego posagu, wartość łatwo sprzedawalnych kosztowności i gotówka wypłacona w ramach wyprawy (o łącznej kwocie 200 000 zł) znacznie przekraczała 100 000 zł.

The article contains a legal analysis of the property relations resulting from the marriage of Jan Klemens Branicki to Katarzyna Barbara Radziwiłł. The wedding took place in Biała Podlaska on October 1st, 1720. By virtue of the document in question Jan Klemens Branicki was guaranteed that he would be given 200,000 zlotys and that sum would be paid in two instalments, in 1721 and in 1722. In addition, the dowry contained movables and valuables that were worth another 200,000 zlotys. The events here depicted reveal that the economic success of an aristocratic family to a large extent consisted in a skilful construction of the prenuptial agreement and later in enforcing its fulfilment. In the case analysed here it may be concluded that the future hetman obtained more than the Radziwiłłs. Firstly, he managed to gain better conditions for Katarzyna Barbara than Konstancja Radziwiłł got when she married Jan Fryderyk Sapieha in 1717. Secondly, he protected himself against delays in the payments of the dowry; the setting of the dowry was given after receiving the dowry itself, and the jointure agreement was concluded after the first instalment. Thirdly, in spite of a relatively low dowry, the value of the movables and cash paid within the dowry (200,000 zlotys) significantly exceeded 100,000 zlotys. The movables that Katarzyna Barbara Radziwiłł was given became part of the furnishings of the Białystok palace. Still fifty years later it was possible to find in the 1772 and 1775 registers three objects (two beds and a painting), which had been included in the 1720 dowry.
