The article identifies the obstacles to the development of effective cooperation between administration and business. They were broken down into three groups: systemic, cognitive and communication-related. Next, the author proposes some measures that could be adopted to enhance the efficiency of such cooperation, divided into seven groups related to organisation, cognition, communication, management, lobbying, society, and legislation. The biggest number of the proposed solutions is related to the development of ongoing dialogue and overcoming stereotypical perceptions that both sides have of each other. The list of obstacles and the recommendations were prepared by businesspeople and public officials as a part of a project carried out by the Polish Confederation of Private Employers Lewiatan.

The changes attendant to the social and political system had an impact on Polish schools. Due to these changes, teachers need to handle such challenges as a tarnished image of schools and teachers, hyperactive parents, excessively direct students’ behaviors and social problems, especially school violence; all of them are greatly deconstructive for the school system. An effective coping method is not only teachers’ lifelong development, especially in terms of social competencies, but also establishing students’ competencies from the very early stage of education. To achieve that, teachers should create a suitable atmosphere in the area of interpersonal relations, which can be achieved by creating a very effective internal communication system. A constructive dialog at school may importantly influence not only the development of students’ mediation skills, but also the mitigation of conflicts and tensions. This is also a key component of facilitating the mediation process.

This article presents the results of a research conducted under our supervision by students of the subject “Clearly, honestly, correctly – simplifying banking communication in practice”. The classes were delivered at the University of Warsaw in cooperation with mBank as part of the “Students for the Environment” programme. On this example, we show how to integrate plain-language topics into academic teaching. This article presents also the conclusions formulated based on the research results and further research perspectives on the idea of plain language in the context of a broader phenomenon, i.e. effective communication.

In the educational process, effective communication is very important and but difficult to measure. The research team tried to analyse the communication process at the level of young groups of students, highlighting issues related to communication between students and communication between students and professors. This analysis was combined with the implementation of a special educational method for economic specializations, i.e. simulation of the economic activity in a company. Effective communication in the educational process depends heavily on the professor and on the method used, but the importance of communication at the group level and of encouragement for interaction between students related to their future activity also need to be considered.

W procesie edukacyjnym, skuteczna komunikacja jest bardzo ważna, ale trudna do zmierzenia. Zespół badawczy próbował przeanalizować proces komunikacji wśród młodych grup studentów, z naciskiem na kwestie związane z komunikacją pomiędzy studentami oraz komunikacją pomiędzy studentami i profesorami. Analiza ta była połączona z wdrożeniem specjalnej metody edukacyjnej dla specjalizacji ekonomicznych, tzn. symulacji działalności ekonomicznej w firmie. Skuteczna komunikacja w procesie edukacyjnym zależy w dużej mierze od profesora oraz zastosowanej metody, ale waga komunikacji na poziomie grupy oraz zachęcanie do interakcji pomiędzy studentami związanej z ich przyszłą aktywnością musi być również wzięta pod uwagę.

Celem artykułu jest analiza relacji między władzami lokalnymi (samorządem lokalnym) a środowiskiem społecznym oraz określenie czynników, które wpływają na te relacje w sposób pozytywny i rozwijający. Główna hipoteza postawiona w artykule brzmi: rodzaj relacji i komunikacji między środowiskiem społecznym a władzami lokalnymi wpływa na zakres uczestnictwa obywateli w procesach decyzyjnych na poziomie lokalnym. Możliwe jest zatem określenie warunków umożliwiających wzmocnienie jakości tego procesu (czyli zwiększenie rzeczywistej partycypacji społecznej) na poszczególnych etapach procesu. decyzyjnego.

The aim of the article is to analyze the relationship between local authority (local government) and social environment and to identify factors that affect these relationships in a positive and developing way. The main hypothesis is that the type of relationship and communication between the social environment and local authorities affects the scope of citizens’ participation in decision-making processes at the local level. It is possible, therefore, to specify conditions enabling the quality of this process to be strengthened at particular stages of decision-making process.

Sources of failure of modern linguistic communication In this paper the author presents selected papers devoted to the conditions of effective communication, classifications of communication failures given by various researchers, and sources of communication failures. The most important causes of communication failures are: - lack of communication competence of interlocutors; - failure to comply with H.P. Grice’s Principles of Co-operation; - subjective assessment of interlocutors on the lack of benefits from avoiding communication failures.

Источники коммуникативных неудач в современной коммуникации В статье автор представил обзор избранных работ, посвящённых условиям успешной коммуникации, классификации коммуникативных неудач разных исследователей и назвал причины коммуникативных неудач в современной коммуникации. По мнению автора, к ним прежде всего принадлежат: - недостаток коммуникативной компетенции; - несоблюдение принципа кооперации Г. П. Грайса; - субъективная оценка собеседников, которая говорит об отсутствии пользы от общения, если они будут избегать коммуникативных неудач.

Pozytywne relacje nauczyciela z uczniami wymagają nie tylko profesjonalnej wiedzy z zakresu zasad i reguł komunikacji interpersonalnej, ale umiejętności wykorzystywania ich w praktyce dydaktycznej. W artykule przedstawiono teoretyczne podstawy relacji pomiędzy nauczycielem a uczniem. Zwrócono uwagę na psychologiczne uwarunkowania, będące gwarantem skutecznej formy porozumienia i kształtowania pozytywnych relacji nauczyciela z uczniami w zespole klasowym. Zasygnalizowano różnice pomiędzy poszczególnymi modelami komunikowania się, jak również wskazano czynniki będące nieodzownym elementem pozytywnych relacji nauczyciela z uczniem. Omówiono blokady i bariery skutecznie utrudniające nie tylko kształtowanie pozytywnych relacji, ale decydujące o kształtowaniu tożsamości uczniów. Zwrócono uwagę na jakość relacji nauczyciela z uczniami w kontekście jego indywidualnych stylów komunikacyjnych.

Positive relationships of a teacher with students require not only professional knowledge of the rules and principles of interpersonal communication but also the ability to apply them in didactic practice. The article presents the theoretical foundations of the relationship between the teacher and the student. Attention was paid to the psychological determinants that guarantee the effective form of communication and the formation of positive relationships between the teacher and students in the classroom. The differences between various communication models have been signaled as well as the factors that are indispensable for the positive relationship between the teacher and the student. Blockades and barriers have been discussed, effectively hindering not only the development of positive relationships but deciding on shaping students’ identities. Attention has been drawn to the relationship of behaviour in relation to its participant in the context of individual communication styles.

Der Artikel will die These begründen, dass die Kommunikationsfähigkeiten der wichtigste Bestandteil des Erziehungsprozesses sind und dass die Bedingung einer erfolgreichen Kommunikation die Beherrschung der Regeln der schwierigen Kunst der offenen Kommunikation ist (sowohl in Form der unmittelbaren wie der mittelbaren Kommunikation). Um richtige zwischenmenschliche Beziehungen aufzubauen, sollte man einen guten Dialog verwirklichen: der Inhalt, die Sprache und das Gesprächsklima sollten die Offenheit (gemäß dem Rang der Probleme), die Aufmerksamkeit und taktvoll vermittelte Wahrheit fördern. Ein gutes Gespräch verlangt bedingungslos einen Verzicht auf eine angewöhnte Attitüde, sich automatisch verteidigen zu müssen. Es sollte das Gefühl der subjektiven Nähe und Sicherheit aufbauen.

The purpose of this article is justification of the view that communication skills are the most important part of the process of education and that the difficult art to master the principles of open communication (both in the form of direct communication and indirect) is a prerequisite for an effective agreement. To build proper inter-human relationships, people should realise a good type of dialogue: content, language and climate talks should foster openness (i.e. the rank of problems), mindfulness and between the truth. Good conversation requires mandatory expulsion of habitual, automatic adoption of a defensive posture. It should facilitate building a sense of subjective closeness and security.

Celem artykułu jest uzasadnienie poglądu, że kompetencje komunikacyjne są najważniejszym elementem procesu wychowania oraz że opanowanie zasad trudnej sztuki komunikacji otwartej (zarówno w formie komunikacji bezpośredniej, jak i pośredniej) jest warunkiem skutecznego porozumienia. Aby zbudować prawidłowe relacje międzyludzkie, należy realizować dobry typ dialogu: treść, język i klimat rozmowy powinny sprzyjać szczerości, uważności i taktownemu mówieniu prawdy. Dobra rozmowa bezwzględnie wymaga wyrugowania nawykowego, automatycznego przyjmowania postawy obronnej. Powinna budować poczucie subiektywnej bliskości i bezpieczeństwa.

Nowadays, organizations must invest strategically in information technology (IT) and choose the right digital initiatives to maximize their benefit. Nevertheless, Chief Information Officers still struggle to communicate IT costs and demonstrate the business value of IT. The goal of this paper is to support their effective communication. In focus groups, we analyzed how different stakeholders perceive IT costs and the business value of IT as the basis of communication. We identified 16 success factors to establish effective communication. Hence, this paper enables a better understanding of the perception and the operationalization of effective communication.
