Purpose: This paper aims to identify the factors of destination attractiveness in the opinion of the digital nomads. The data was obtained through a quantitative research process. Design/methodology/approach: The study uses a quantitative approach. The author used a method in the form of a diagnostic survey using a questionnaire tool with a proprietary scale provided to respondents on-line (CAWI). A deliberate sample selection was used based on the self-identification criterion of the respondent as a digital nomad with experience or planning a trip in this capacity soon. Findings: In order to choose a city as a destination, digital nomads are most often guided by the price level prevailing in a given place, the level of safety, and the interesting culture and identity presented by the city. Among the factors influencing the city's attractiveness, the most important were the technological facilities, accessibility, the presence of recreational areas and facilities, and the local community's attitude towards visitors. Originality/value: This paper focuses on analyzing the specificity and features of cities from the perspective of a relatively new, dynamically growing group of external recipients - digital nomads. The developed conclusions may contribute to formulating the city's marketing messages appropriately and adapting the city's offer to the digital nomad community. In addition, this paper contains the issue of preferences regarding the size of the city and the intention to use coworking spaces.

Purpose: This paper aims to identify the current state of knowledge and ongoing research related to the digital nomad segment from the perspective of territorial marketing. Design/methodology/approach: The Scoping Review method was used, and the research material was collected from 3 databases: Scopus, Web of Science, and the Google Scholar academic browser. In order to graphically present the research conducted by scientists relating to digital nomads, VOSviewer software was used to build a map of connections between keywords appearing in publications. Findings: Based on the Scoping Review, the author notices a sudden interest in the academic community in the issue of digital nomads, particularly in business economics and social sciences. The analysis of the collected materials allows to conclude that the technological facilities offered by territorial units are one of the critical features of the city as a destination from the perspective of digital nomads. Moreover, the author indicates that the characteristics of the profile of the digital nomad group require constant updates to conduct effective marketing communication of cities with this target group. Place marketing theorists and practitioners looking for effective ways to attract digital nomads should also focus on the possibilities of cooperation with residents because their attitudes and opinions strongly influence the perception of the city. Originality/value: So far, few studies have combined the issue of digital nomads as a group of consumers of the city's offer with the area of city marketing. This paper consolidates previous findings in this area. The last part of the paper proposes future research directions, the results of which may positively affect the effectiveness of marketing activities used by territorial units to gain the interest of digital nomads.

The paper seeks to define the principles of the development of office buildings throughout history, in the light of new research dealing with the needs and habits of a new workforce in the digital age and environment-friendly solutions. To start, we explore the evolution of administrative buildings through the ages, to see how workspaces were designed to accommodate work dynamics of the time and apply contemporary technological solutions. Afterwards, an overview of modern office spaces and emerging business practices aims to define the requirements and expectations put forward by a new workforce, predominantly tied to digital innovation. The resulting research’s purpose is to design a model office space that considers both issues of sustainable building and the needs of the workforce

The article examines the opportunities and challenges of peripheral rural areas with high landscape values in the context of digital nomads, who combine remote work with leisure. The problem addressed concerns the protection and development of such areas under the pressure of digital nomadism on the sample of the Spanish town Valverde de Burguillos. The literature review has shown that the nomadic lifestyle is becoming popular globally. The impact of digital nomads on rural landscapes has not yet been sufficiently investigated in the literature. The method employed was a case study, including an on-site study visit and a students’ idea for the town of Valverde de Burguillos in the form of a simulation. The analysed case study of an idea for Valverde de Burguillos presents a development centre and a digital nomad village. It focuses on integrating digital nomads into the local community and on their impact on the urban structure of the town and the adjacent landscape. On the one hand, it introduces new architecture and infrastructure into the rural landscape, transforming it. On the other hand, it enables conservation, protection, and access to the Water Culture heritage. The research highlights the importance of landscape values in social identity, branding, and sustainable development. Relationships were explored between the need to protect and develop valuable rural landscapes and the emerging tourism and residential trends related to digital nomads. At the same time, attention was given to the increasing prevalence of remote work and its impact on spatial structures, architecture, and landscapes. Emphasis was put on the adaptation and potential impact on local communities and surrounding landscapes, which can be considered a revision of design and housing paradigms.

W artykule przeanalizowano możliwości peryferyjnych obszarów wiejskich o wysokich walorach krajobrazowych i stojące przed takimi regionami wyzwania w kontekście cyfrowych nomadów, którzy łączą pracę zdalną z wypoczynkiem. Z jednej strony wprowadza nową architekturę i infrastrukturę w krajobrazie wiejskim, zmieniając go. Z drugiej strony umożliwia utrzymanie, ochronę i dostęp do dziedzictwa kultury wodnej. Badania podkreślają znaczenie wartości krajobrazu dla tożsamości społecznej, budowania marki i zrównoważonego rozwoju. Zbadano relacje między potrzebą ochrony i rozwoju cennych krajobrazów wiejskich a pojawiającymi się trendami turystycznymi i mieszkaniowymi związanymi z cyfrowymi nomadami. Jednocześnie zwrócono uwagę na rosnącą powszechność pracy zdalnej i jej wpływ na struktury przestrzenne, architekturę i krajobrazy. Podkreślono potrzebę adaptacji i potencjalny wpływ na lokalne społeczności i otaczające krajobrazy, co można uznać za rewizję paradygmatu projektowania i mieszkalnictwa.
