Od roku 1999 je v Armádě České republiky (AČR) realizován program rozšířené preventivní péče - každoroční prohlídky vojáků z povolání (VZP) nejrůznějších vojenských profesí, funkcí a vzdělání ve věkových kategoriích 25, 30, 33, 36, 39, 40-55 let. Počet vyšetřovaných v jednotlivých letech je kolem 6000. Získaná antropometrická, laboratorní a klinická data poskytují dostatek informací o každém jedinci do té míry, že je reálné na jejich základě stanovit individuální léčebně-preventivní návrhy a doporučení pro každého jednotlivce. Smyslem je pak, na základě jejich akceptování a dlouhodobého dodržování, oddálit manifestaci především tzv.civilizačních chorob. Jedná se především o metabolické poruchy jako je diabetes mellitus, hyperlipoproteinémie, hypertensi, aterosklerózu a její komplikace a samozřejmě o kteroukoliv formu ICHS. Tato onemocnění také patří k nejčastějším příčinám dočasné nebo trvalé neschopnosti v službě v posledních letech u příslušníků AČR. Nelze na tomto místě také nezmínit negativní vliv dalších tzv. rizikových faktorů jako je stres, kouření, nadváha, nesprávné stravovací návyky a stárnutí.

From 1999 is in Czech Army program of primary preventive care (PPC) - this is early PPC for soldiers assorted professions, functions and education in age group (25, 30, 33, 36, 39, 40-55 year). Member of examinants are about 6000-per year. Anthropometrical, laboratory and clinical knowledge give sufficiency information about everyone and so that is real to on this information determine individual medication - preventive recommendation. Sense of this is accepted and long-time kept recommendation and put behind manifestation of civilization diseases (Diabetes mellitus II. type, disorders of metabolisms, hyperlipoprotenemie, hypertension, atherosclerosis....). Theses diseases are most frequent reason of temporary or lasting disability in duty of Czech soldiers during last few years. It is impossible to mention negative influence next risk factors as stress, smoking, overweight, obesity, bad eating habit, live style and aging.

The article provides an overview of Czech military involvement in other countries, with a special focus on Asia (Afghanistan, Iraq), and Balkan region (Kosovo, and Bosnia and Herzegovina). It introduces key activities of the Czech Republic under NATO and the EU (involvement in EU missions and EU Battle Groups), and partially deals with the Czech participation in the UN observation missions. The main aim of the article is to reveal the scope and nature of Czech military involvement, and its development over time. The article helps to understand the position of the Czech Republic within international security structures, and also reveals capacities of the Czech Army in foreign operations.

W artykule przedstawiono przegląd zaangażowania wojskowego Czech w innych krajach, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem Azji (Afganistan, Irak) oraz regionu Bałkanów (Kosowo oraz Bośnia i Hercegowina). Przedstawia kluczowe działania Republiki Czeskiej w ramach NATO i UE (zaangażowanie w misje UE i Grupy Bojowe UE) oraz częściowo zajmuje się również udziałem Czech w misjach obserwacyjnych ONZ. Głównym celem artykułu jest ukazanie zakresu i charakteru czeskiego zaangażowania wojskowego oraz jego zmieniającej się rozwoju z biegiem czasu. Artykuł pomaga w zrozumieniu pozycji Republiki Czeskiej w międzynarodowych strukturach bezpieczeństwa, a także ujawnia możliwości armii czeskiej w operacjach zagranicznych.

Contemporary understanding of the notion of managing defence acquisition in the Czech army system has been presented in the article. This system has been shown on the background of the other two main systems of defence management: defining requirements system and the system of budget planning, programming and creating both in the scale of the country and coalition. According to the author, defence acquisition management should be a bridge between the development, production and exploitation of systems in the military. He proves the necessity to apply managerial methods in defence acquisitions.
