Montenegro’s independence in 2006 and the introduction of Montenegrin as an official language in the Republic of Montenegro paved the way for institutional ized normative work on the Montenegrin language, in which the phonemes ś and ź officially appeared as full-fledged. Thus, the official Montenegrin language is the only South Slavic language and the third, next to Polish and Lower Sorbian, to have in its phonemic stock the soft spirants analyzed in the paper. The purpose of this analysis is to present and compare Polish and Montenegrin spirants ś and ź in terms of genetic description and their contemporary status. Such a comparison does not ignore dialectal contexts.

The paper discusses the process of standardization of the Bosnian language. This is the third language that was separated from the former Serbo-Croatian language. The author reveals problems associated with Bosnian national identity and the name of the language used by the Bosnians. The paper also discusses the work of Bosnian linguists, which finally led to the formation of language in the form now used in Bosnia.

The paper examines adaptations of German morpheme borrowings in the Bosnian language in relation to sports vocabulary. The analysis presents the specifics of such an adaptation in the Bosnian language and indicates the characteristic affixes which enable the morpheme transfer. At the same time, the analysis confirms the implementation of the postulates of Bosnian standardologists regarding the openness of Bosnian to language borrowings and, perhaps above all, the openness to the coexistence of lexical doublets. In the material studied here, this variance refers to the use of different word-formative morphemes (suffixes) with the same root morpheme, consequently resulting in a possibility of a given signifier having two forms.

W artykule poddano badaniu adaptacje germańskich zapożyczeń morfemowych w języku bośniackim, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem słownictwa sportowego. Przeprowadzona analiza ukazała specyfikę jego asymilacji w języku bośniackim oraz ukazała zasób formantów wykorzystywanych w procesie tejże adaptacji. Badanie potwierdziło również ustalenia bośniackich standardologów dotyczące otwartości języka bośniackiego na zapożyczenia językowe oraz, a może przede wszystkim, ujawniło współwystępowanie dubletów leksykalnych. W badanym materiale wariantywność ta polega na użyciu różnych morfemów słowotwórczych (sufiksów), które są dodawane do tego samego morfemu rdzennego, w wyniku czego dany desygnat może posiadać dwie postaci.

Verbs form the most numerous group of colloquialisms. They allow almost limitless creation of new colloquial expressions that denote different actions. This article describes Serbian colloquial verbs with the prefix na- on the basis of contemporary linguistic material. The author reveals the high productivity of the prefix na- in relation to both Serbian as well as borrowed roots.
