Aim. The aim of this article is to define and analyse the intention and effects of the use of mass communication and media for military purposes. The authors examine the issue on the example of the Russian Federation and the unrecognized Republic of Abkhazia. Methods. The method of the research is  a qualitative, discursive analysis of media texts. Results. The study of the content of information platform sputnik-abkhazia.ru, created by the Russian Federation in Abkhazia, allows us to identify the main messages the above-mentioned platform disseminates and tries to enroot in the local community of Abkhazia. In the messages identified during the study an attempt is shown to convince the local audience of the military “invincibility” of the Russian Federation, a clear discredit of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO) - and an open attempt to create an icon of the enemy from Georgia and the United States. In this way we see harmful, threatening cooperation of the means of mass media communication against society, carrying out military tasks. Conclusions. A study of the content of Sputnik-Abkhazia shows a clear example of the use of an information platform for military purposes. Given the current situation, we can argue that the informational efforts that the Russian Federation is making in Abkhazia will soon become a problem, not only for Georgia. Such cooperation between military tasks and information platforms serves to sow fear and mistrust in society, which creates fertile ground to rule the public opinion.

Aim. The article represents the results of research into the success of the students who are preparing themselves for teaching activity in the nearest future while obtaining their professional education. The aim of this research is to examine the notion of professional success, with the focus on the cognitive component of this process through the prism of purpose in life. Methods. In accordance with a developed theoretical model of the professional success achieved by a person, empirical research was carried out on a sample of the future primary school teachers with the focus on the cognitive component. To realise the purpose and objectives of the paper, a set of tests (the Test of the Life-Sense Orientations; the Purpose-in-Life Test (PIL); and a questionnaire of early childhood decisions, etc. were used as diagnostic tools to find out the correlation between components of professional success. Statistical correlation was analysed with the use of Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Results. The results of the correlation analysis between the indicators of personal readiness for change and the scenarios show a reversed two-way correlation between the indicators of the Confidence scale and the attributes “Don’t be, don’t be alive”, “Don’t be yourself”, “Be excellent”; between the metrics of the “Passion” scale and the “Don’t grow up”, “Don’t be yourself”. Conclusion. It was found that meaningful orientations of the future primary school teachers and scenario settings like “Do Not Get Close, Don’t Love, Don’t Feel, Be Perfect, Try, function as psychological barriers to achieving professional success.

Aim. This research aims to theoretically characterize and empirically research the indicators of barriers and resources for journalists’ success in life through the prism of their professional scripts. The focus is on the axiological component of the professional script of media professionals. Methods. We used theoretical analysis of the psychological works aiming at studying journalists’ success in life, and such methodological instruments as the Lifetime Orienteering Test (Leontiev, 2000); an adapted version of James Crambo’s Purpose-in-Life Test (PIL); Leonard Maholiсk’s Personal Readiness for Change Questionnaire (1993), and Methodology Completeness of Life. Statistical correlation was analyzed with the use of Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Results. The theoretical analysis and empirical data revealed the correlation between the indicators of sense-of-life orientations and the indicators of personal readiness for change, script settings, perceptions of self, others and life. The results identify psychological barriers, and allocate directions of development of the technologies for optimization of journalists’ success in life. Conclusions. The results of the study made it possible to distinguish priority values-goals and values-instruments, important in the construction of the architectonics of the axiological component of the journalists’ professional script. The correlation between indicators of journalists’ middle level life-sense orientations and indicators of personal change readiness empirically confirmed a claim that innovative readiness of journalists intensified the process of reaching success in life. Psychological barriers of the cognitive process were stated as script attitudes. The development of technologies for the psychological support of journalists was considered as a prospect for our future studies.
