Self-evaluations and evaluations others in preschool and school childrenOn the basis of investigating 160 children (100 children finishing preschool education and 60 children finishing third classroom) it has been founded that even six-year-old children can formulate estimating fraises about them self and others. They use both the opinions of adults and self-making social comparison. In all children the level of particular self-evaluations depends on essence of evaluated trait and of situational context. When criteria of assessment are unambiguous, children do not show self-favoritism.
Children’s knowledge about reasons and manifestations of emotions at the and of their preschool educationThe aim of the study was to determine the extend children’s knowledge about reasons and manifestations of emotions of their own and their parents. The method applied was interview with children using incomplete sentences. The results of investigation 120 children finishing preschool education revealed that they understand causal relationship between events and derived from them emotions. The children posses information about the reasons of fear, sadness, anger and happiness as well as resulting emotional expressions and emotional actions experience by them and they parents. Particular events have different emotional value for children depending on their cognitive appraisal.
University education should consist in construction of knowledge system capable of further expansion and transformation, as well as on development of reflection about self and the surrounding world. It should be a dialog between the professors and students. It appeared interesting to investigate how the students evaluate their professors and which are the opinions about their positive and negative attitudes and behavior.
