Abstrakty

Celem niniejszego artykułu jest analiza głównych czynników determinujących tempo wzrostu gospodarczego w Polsce w okresie 2000-2009, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem znaczenia napływu bezpośrednich inwestycji zagranicznych. W pracy wykorzystano metodę badawczą opartą na studiach literaturowych z zakresu międzynarodowych stosunków gospodarczych i finansów międzynarodowych oraz metody ekonometryczne (model wektorowej korekty błędem - VECM). Wszystkie dane statystyczne wykorzystane w pracy pochodzą z baz statystycznych Międzynarodowego Funduszu Walutowego (International Financial Statistics). Wyniki przeprowadzonych badań potwierdziły pozytywny i istotny wpływ zagranicznych inwestycji bezpośrednich na dynamikę produktu krajowego brutto w Polsce, lecz czynnik ten okazał się najmniej znaczącą determinantą wzrostu gospodarczego. The main aim of the study is to analyze the main determinants of economic growth in Poland in the period 2000-2009, with particular emphasis on the importance of foreign direct investments. In the article were used a research methods based on the literature study in the field of international economics and international finance as well as econometric methods (vector error correction model - VECM). All statistics used in the work comes from the statistical database of the International Monetary Fund (International Financial Statistics). Results of investigation confirmed a positive and significant impact of foreign direct investments on the dynamic of Gross Domestic Product in Poland, but this factor was the least important determinant of economic growth.
