Purpose: In response to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, many employers have decided to switch to remote work. This form of work has become a new professional reality for employees representing all generations. Each of them in their own way found themselves in these new working conditions. The article focuses on the experience of the youngest cohort of workers in this regard. The main goal of the paper is to recognize the experience of Generation Z employees in the area of remote work and to identify key factors that, in the opinion of representatives of Generation Z, favor or limit remote work in an uncertain time of Covid-19. Design/methodology/approach: The authors conducted a diagnostic survey with a survey questionnaire. The questionnaire was carried out using the CAWI method. It was filled in by 334 respondents who represent Generation Z, professionally active, who worked remotely during the pandemic. As many as 310 questionnaires were selected for the final analysis. Findings: Young people like the model of remote work because they can derive many benefits from it. Representatives of Generation Z wonder whether the return to office work will deprive them of their privileges and make them submit to a certain discipline and rules applicable there. Research limitations/implications: Due to the limitations of the research sample it is important to underline that generalizing the research results must be done with caution. The authors of the article intend to continue the research carried out on the discussed topic, as well as in the field of adaptability to remote work of other three generations: Y, X, and BB. Practical implications: Recognition of experience of both employers and young employees in the field of remote work, there is a great opportunity for new solutions in HRM and work management, more relevant to the challenges of the pandemic and post-pandemic world of work. Originality/value: The paper analyzes the remote work experience of employees in pandemic reality. Its value is to look at the issue from the perspective of the experience of the youngest employees representing Generation Z. The article is addressed to human resources managers.

Praca jest opisem badań wykonanych w ramach projektu badawczego „Polyurea coatings as possible reinforcement system”. Zasadniczym założeniem artykułu jest ocena przydatności powłok polimocznikowych do poprawy charakterystyki pracy elementów konstrukcji budowlanych. Na potrzeby opracowania wykonano podstawowe badania polimocznika, proste testy fizyczne i eksperymenty w skali naturalnej. Na tej podstawie przeprowadzono analizę wyników wraz z oceną właściwości powłoki i jej wpływu na elementy budowlane. Wyniki analizy wykazały, że zastosowanie powłoki z polimocznika zapewnia zachowanie integralności po przekroczeniu nośności elementów konstrukcji, a także pozwala poprawić inne walory użytkowe konstrukcji.

The study is a description of the research carried out as part of the research project “Polyurea coatings as possible reinforcement system”. The main assumption of the article is to assess the suitability of polyurea coatings to improve the performance characteristics of building structure elements. For the purposes of the study, basic polyurea studies, simple physical tests and naturalscale experiments were performed. On this basis, the results were analysed along with the assessment of the properties of the coating and its impact on building elements. The results of the analysis showed that the use of a polyurea coating ensures that the integrity is maintained when the load capacity of the structure elements is exceeded; other functional values of the structure are also improved.

Drewno było, jest i będzie cennym materiałem budowlanym. W artykule podjęto próbę potwierdzenia tej tezy, przedstawiając wyniki Oceny Cyklu Życia (LCA) trzech budynków modelowych. Obiektywną miarą potwierdzono korzyści środowiskowe stosowania drewna i materiałów drewnopochodnych w budownictwie. Jednocześnie potwierdzono, że z uwagi na oddziaływania na środowisko szczególnie istotny jest okres użytkowania obiektów i rodzaj nośników energii wykorzystywanych do ogrzewania.

Wood was, is and will be a valuable building material. The article attempts to confirm this thesis by presenting the results of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of three model buildings. The environmental benefits of using wood and wood-based materials in construction were confirmed by objective measure. At the same time, it was confirmed that due to the environmental impacts, the use stage of buildings and the type of energy carriers used for heating are of particular importance.

The article presents the most important issues related to printers and 3D printing technology. The method of creating items with the incremental method as well as its advantages and disadvantages is presented. In the final article in the series, applying the methodology in practice step by step was presented. Instructions for correct performance of the analysis, in compliance with the author's procedure, were determined. Both advantages and disadvantages of the developed approach were underlined.

Zaprezentowano także wyniki obliczeń parametrów fizykalnych przegród zewnętrznych i ich złączy z uwzględnieniem wymagań cieplno-wilgotnościowych obowiązujących od 1 stycznia 2021 r. Zostały omówione przykładowe rozwiązania materiałowe dociepleń od strony wewnętrznej, izolacyjność cieplna ścian zewnętrznych ocieplonych od wewnątrz oraz kształtowanie parametrów fizykalnych złączy przegród ocieplonych od wewnątrz.

This paper presents the characteristics of selected thermal insulation materials used for insulation of internal walls. It also presents the results of physical parameters calculations for external partitions and their joints in view of thermal and humidity requirements entering into force on 1 January 2021. Model materials for internal side thermal insulation, thermal insulating power of walls insulated on the interior side and physical parameters of joints of internally insulated partitions have been discussed.

This work gives a brief review of existing studies that compares spelt and modern wheat from various aspects of quality including technological, nutritional, functional and safety performance. Spelt shows acceptable bread-making performances. It can be used for bread, cookie, cracker and pasta manufacture with some adaptations in processing. Regarding nutritional quality, spelt is very similar to wheat and represents richer source of selenium, folates, phytosterols and alkilresorcinols than modern wheats. From the aspect of food safety, spelt shows advantages as being a hulled wheat.

The aim of the work was to present the idea of electric bicycle operation as a modern alternative to classic bicycle and its technical and utility values as well as development prospects in the infrastructure of transport systems. The following sections discuss the principle of electric bicycle operation, currently used technical and construction solutions and the essential advantages and disadvantages of this vehicle. Particular attention was paid to the legal and legislative conditions and current market trends of electric bicycles in the European Union and Poland. Selected models of modern construction solutions of leading global companies were also discussed.

Zakłady koksownicze planując renowację obmurza komór koksowniczych zwracają szczególną uwagę na czas trwania remontu, wynikające stąd zaburzenia eksploatacyjne a co za tym idzie straty produkcji koksu. Technologia klasycznego remontu masywu ceramicznego polegająca na odbudowie całości ścian lub ich fragmentów, bazuje od lat na wykorzystaniu standardowych kształtek krzemionkowych a ich rozszerzalność cieplna jest niezmiernie ważnym czynnikiem wpływającym na czas trwania remontu. Istotnym innowacyjnym rozwiązaniem w zakresie prowadzenia remontów gorących jak również remontów zimnych było zastosowanie tzw. kształtek o zerowej rozszerzalności (z krzemionki amorficznej). Jak wynika ze światowych doświadczeń zastosowanie tego typu materiału wpływa korzystnie na rezultat prowadzonych remontów zarówno w aspekcie technicznym, ekologicznym jak i ekonomicznym.

During repairs planning, the coke plants, points out special care on the production disturbances and production losses connected with coke oven battery brickwork renovation. The classic repairs techniques are based on the traditional silica bricks, which thermal expansion is a large factor for time of the repair. The very innovative step was to use during hot and cold repairs the fused silica, which has zero thermal expansion. As shows the wide world experiences, the use of the fused silica contributes in a very good technical, ecological and economical results of the repairs.

Technologie palowe są stosowane w budownictwie od czasu wprowadzenia posadowienia głębokiego. Współcześnie klasyfikacje pali uwzględniają specyfikę technologii, oddziaływania na ośrodek gruntowy, materiał, z którego formuje się pale [1]. Obowiązujące normy wprowadzają podział na pale wiercone [2] oraz przemieszczeniowe [3]. Artykuł prezentuje wybraną grupę technologii pali przemieszczeniowych, znanych jako pale SDP (Soil Displacement Piles), pale FDP (Full Displacement Piles) lub kolumny CMC (Controled Modulus Column) [4]. Różnice polegają na konstrukcji świdrów, kierunku obrotów przy pogrążaniu i unoszeniu wiertła, stosowaniu traconej końcówki, formowaniu trzonu pala w formie prostego walca lub śruby.

Piling technologies have been used in the construction industry since the introduction of deep foundations. Modern pile classifications take into account the nature of the technology, action on the ground and material of which the piles are formed. Valid standards introduce a division to drilled and displacement piles. The article presents the selected group of displacement pile technology, known as SDP (Soil Displacement Piles), FDP (Full Displacement Piles) or CMC (Controlled Modulus Column). The differences are in drill design, rotation direction in plunging and lifting the drill, drilling with lost tip, pile core forming into a straight cylinder or screw.
