W artykule przedstawiono syntetyczny opis wyników analiz wstępnych, zestawienia pa-rametrów taktyczno-technicznych nowo opracowanego wielolufowego karabinu maszynowego WLKM w odniesieniu do będących w uzbrojeniu Sił Zbrojnych RP i innych armii rodzajów i typów uzbrojenia. Uwzględniono również dotychczas uzyskane wyniki badań partii próbnej/wdrożeniowej oraz przedstawiono kierunki prac w celu określenia możliwości optymalizacji konstrukcji, przedstawiono możliwe do zastosowania zabudowy karabinu WLKM na platformach bojowych.

The paper presents a concise description of initial results of analyses and a list of tactical-technical parameters for a newly developed multi-barrel machine gun WLKM in reference to other types of weaponry being used by the Armed Forces of Po-land and other countries. Test results of an implementation/piloting lot were taken into account and the works dedicated to possibilities of optimizing the design are presented with some proposals of WLKM gun integration onto the combat platforms.

In the paper, an assessment of combat capabilities of fighters will be presented on the base of a selected group of the modern multirole military aircraft. The evaluation was carried out by means of comprehensive method adapted by based on the matrix calculus. A modern multirole fighter is designed to carry out various air operations, therefore the special areas can be determined (depending a sort of the mission) which are important from the point of view of mission success. These areas, for the modern fighters, can be described by: weapon system, avionics, manoeuvrability, mission flexibility etc. The determined areas should be investigated through the process of identification of parameters or indicators, which represent any area, and then parameter matrixes should be aggregated and normalised. A final ranking of combat capabilities of the aircraft would be achieved after accumulation of the scores for the investigated areas (for an aircraft),
