W artykule przedstawiono celowość kształcenia na symulatorach siłowni okrętowych oraz odniesiono się do przepisów regulujących kształcenie na symulatorach siłowni okrętowych. Przedstawiono bazę dydaktyczną symulatorów siłowni okrętowych Akademii Morskiej w Gdyni i dokonano tabelarycznego zestawienia symulatorów z wizualizacją typu 3D.

The article presents the desirability of training based on the engine room simulators. National and international regulations regarding the education based on the simulators have been discused. Also the engine room simulators’ facilities installed in Gdynia Maritime University have been presented and tabularized based on the 3D simulators.

For three years, the Management and Command Faculty has offered a three month long Higher Operational-Tactical Course (HOTC) as part of a professional soldiers’ training system, dedicated to officers aspiring to higher rank. According to our three years of experience, we can say that the course is an interesting educational proposal, suitable for 21st century requirements. This article presents selected aspects of the HOTC schedule, the course preparation process and hypothetical directions of the transformation of HOTC in the future.

W artykule przedstawiono pierwsze wyniki i oceny uzyskane podczas prowadzonych testów symulatora SK-1 Pluton na terenie Wyższej Oficerskiej Szkoły Wojsk Lądowych we Wrocławiu. Omówiono możliwości wykorzystania symulatora w szkoleniu kandydatów na oficerów. Zostały nakreślone obszary zastosowania symulatora w szkoleniu żołnierzy jednostek wyposażonych w KTO Rosomak. W końcowej części artykułu odniesiono się do doświadczeń z wykorzystania systemów symulacyjnych w międzynarodowych przedsięwzięciach szkoleniowych.

The article presents initial results obtained and assessments made during testing of SK-1 Pluton simulator at the Military Academy of Land Forces in Wrocław (WSOWL). The prospects for using the simulator in the training of officer candidates are discussed. The areas of application of the simulator in training troops of units equipped with AMV Rosomak are outlined. In the final part of the article reference is made to experience gained in the use of simulation systems in international training undertakings.

The article deals with officers’ basic training for the needs of Great Britain’s Air Force. It was written basing on general information from RAF College Cranwell lectures in which the author participated. A crucial issue in this article is a structure and contents of educational programme for the candidates for Air Force officers. The present training programme binding currently in RAF College Cranwell has been described. Its structure suggests that the most important task is not to acquire specialist abilities but to create certain features, attitudes and behaviour of future officers. The theory and practice of leadership is a dominant problem. Due to the importance of this problem in armies in NATO structures, certain selected elements of leadership theory have been explained. The programme of officers’ basic training for Great Britain’s Air Force presented in the article differs from the one realised in the Polish Air Force. Therefore, according to the author, in the times of transformations both in the Polish Armed Forces and in military education, this programme can become a comparative material to create a new Polish Air Force system of officers’ training.
