This article is a compilation of all standards governing the payloads for road bridges in our country starting before the II World War, and ending on the Eurocode. The article also includes a comparative analysis of the effort of the structures subjected to loads compliant with these standards. On their basis, the load-bearing of the bridge was estimated.

Omówiono podstawowe cechy systemów ochrony katodowej stosowane do podziemnych oraz podwodnych konstrukcji stalowych. Wskazano na zalety tej technologii zabezpieczeń przeciwkorozyjnych. Podano zarys zastosowania ochrony katodowej do zbiorników podziemnych i den naziemnych zbiorników paliwowych. Podkreślono znaczenie ochrony katodowej zbiorników paliwowych dla ochrony naturalnego środowiska. Na tym tle zaprezentowano niektóre przepisy oraz normy regulujące stosownie ochrony katodowej do stalowych konstrukcji podziemnych, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem zbiorników paliwowych.

Basic characteristics have been described of cathodic protection systems used for underground and underwater steel structures. Advantages have been indicated of this corrosion protection technology. The scope of application has been given of cathodic protection of underground fuel tanks. The importance has been emphasized of cathodic protection of fuel tanks for protection of the natural environment. Some Polish regulations and standards regulating application of cathodic protection for steel underground structures have been presented, with special emphasis on fuel tanks.
