The paper describes one of the methods of data acquisition in data mining models used to support decision-making. The study presents the possibilities of data collection using the phases of the CRISP-DM model for an organization and presents the possibility of adapting the model for analysis and management in the decision-making process. The first three phases of implementing the CRISP-DM model are described using data from an enterprise with small batch production as an example. The paper presents the CRISP-DM based model for data mining in the process of predicting assembly cycle time. The developed solution has been evaluated using real industrial data and will be a part of methodology that allows to estimate the assembly time of a finished product at the quotation stage, i.e., without the detailed technology of the product being known.

The aim of the work was to develop a prioritizing and scheduling method to be followed in small and medium-sized companies operating under conditions of non-rhythmic and nonrepeatable production. A system in which make to stock, make to order and engineer to order (MTS, MTO and ETO) tasks are carried out concurrently, referred to as a non-homogenous system, has been considered. Particular types of tasks have different priority indicators. Processes involved in the implementation of these tasks are dependent processes, which compete for access to resources. The work is based on the assumption that the developed procedure should be a universal tool that can be easily used by planners. It should also eliminate the intuitive manner of prioritizing tasks while providing a fast and easy to calculate way of obtaining an answer, i.e. a ready plan or schedule. As orders enter the system on an ongoing basis, the created plan and schedule should enable fast analysis of the result and make it possible to implement subsequent orders appearing in the system. The investigations were based on data from the non-homogenous production system functioning at the Experimental Plant of the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Ceramics and Building Materials, Refractory Materials Division – ICIMB. The developed procedure includes the following steps: 1 – Initial estimation of resource availability, 2 – MTS tasks planning, 3 – Production system capacity analysis, 4 – ETO tasks planning, 5 – MTO orders planning, 6 – Evaluation of the obtained schedule. The scheduling procedure is supported by KbRS (Knowledge-based Rescheduling System), which has been modified in functional terms for the needs of this work assumption.

While autonomous driving has come close to reality over the recent years, machining is still characterised by many manual tasks and prone to costly errors. In this article, an overview is given about the potential of autonomous machining and uprising technologies that support this vision. For that purpose, a definition of autonomous machine tools and the required elements is presented. Next, selected elements of an autonomous machine tool, e.g. sensory machine components and control loops, are discussed. Finally, some insights into ongoing research projects regarding the use of machine learning for process planning and control are given.

PL
Jednym z pierwszych zadań, jakie należy wykonać w trakcie projektowania procesu technologicznego montażu, jest ustalenie kolejności wchodzenia poszczególnych części do procesu montażu, czyli zaplanowanie sekwencji montażowej.

One of the first steps, which should be done when designing an assembly process, is to determine the order in which the particular parts enter the assembly process, i.e. to plan the assembly sequence. As most combinatorial optimization problems, the assembly sequence-planning problem is difficult to solve in a reasonable amount of time, which means that their exact solution by means of algorithms with polynomial complexity is almost impossible. According to the author, the conceptual evolutionary model presented in this section makes possible to solve effectively the assembly sequence-planning problem. This paper emphasizes the importance of the proper configuration of the evolutionary algorithm, using the crossover operation and the different methods of conduction. Numerical studies have shown that the selective implementation effect of the crossover operator is generally considered to be the best for the permutational encoding of combinatorial optimization problems. The assembly sequence planning task, and the travelling salesman route planning test task that corresponds to the process have been carried out in this study. The numerical simulations led to determine the most effective configuration of the OX crossover operator, the values of the crossover, and mutation probability parameters for which the algorithm generates optimal solutions with one hundred per cent repeatability at the lowest simulation cost.

Commonly accepted point is that functional organization structure is a poor environment for project management. The scenario repository approach is designed especially to support project management in environment with great amount of operational activity taking into account, that in such cases, project tasks have their reflection in the tasks of business-processes. Creation of a special project and operation task management tools set allows to create a new approach in change management in enterprises with functional organization structure, optimize the processes, involved in project management activities, compile the knowledge base of project and operational task management using the project task - operational task mapping to reveal the bottle necks of both.

Ogólnie przyjętym punktem widzenia jest to, że funkcjonalna organizacja struktury jest słabą podstawą do zarządzania projektami. Podejście oparte o scenariusze zostało specjalnie zaprojektowane do wsparcia zarządzania projektami w środowisku o dużej aktywności operacyjnej zwłaszcza, że cele projektu mają swoje odbicie w celach procesów biznesowych. Opracowanie specjalnego zestawu narzędzi i operacji do zarządzania projektami pozwala stworzyć nowe podejście do zarządzania zmianami w przedsiębiorstwach z funkcjonalną organizacją struktury, optymalizować procesy związane z zarządzaniem projektami, zbudować bazę wiedzy projektu i operatywnego zarządzania zadaniami przy wykorzystaniu głównego celu projektu - zadanie operacyjne wykrywania „wąskich gardeł”.

The manufacture and consumption of market products shows ever growing trends, and this means not only the supply and demand volume but also, to a higher and higher extent, searching for new products distinguishable from the variety of products on the market. Not only new methods of market investigation have appeared to specify its requirements, but some attempts were also made at elaborating suitable methods and techniques of engineering to ensure flexible and synchronised reaction to market demands. Thus, it is necessary to find methods of functional, logical and structural combination of the so far existing engineering applications like CAx, RP/RT/RE, PDM/TDM, PPC/ERP, CE/SE and RDBMS techniques. Competitive actions in the "product market" make a manufacturer and his sub-suppliers respond to market signals quickly and adequately, and to permanently improve their internal organisation, as well as co-operation, logistic and service interconnections. A new challenge imposed to manufacturers by the competitive market is the so-called "product customisation", i.e. attending to an individual customer's requirements in the features of a series manufactured product. The general objective of customisation is to elaborate features of a product, manufacturing processes, documentation and production organisation in such a way that the product's individual features meet the customer's requirements and its manufacturing process, price and service do not stray from series manufactured products. This contradictory production strategy requires using the newest achievements of computer methods and tools, as well as the newest manufacturing technologies and systems.

Content available Memetic algorithm for assembly sequence planning
EN
The paper presents the application of a memetic algorithm to searching for the optimal sequence of the assembly of parts. Such approach is based on the use of an algorithm connecting two methods of global and local search in order to increase the effectiveness of the conducted optimisation process. Based on a proper representation of assembly sequences and a set of geometrical, topological and technological constraints, connected with the attributes of a product, it is possible to create an evolutionary model. Through proper control of the evolution process in a model, based on the appropriate selection of parameters, it is possible to achieve good results in a short period of time. Although the evolutionary algorithm does not guarantee the obtaining of optimal solutions, it has been proven, based on sample simulations, that such solutions are obtained in a repeated manner. The application of the presented evolutionary approach enables creating fast assembly sequence planning tools, indispensable in tactical planning and operational control of manufacturing processes.
