Outsourcing jest strategią zdobywającą coraz większe uznanie. Firmy farmaceutyczne, chcąc zwiększyć swoją konkurencyjność, są coraz bardziej skłonne do powierzania logistyki operatorom logistycznym. Funkcjonowanie dynamicznie rozwijającej się branży farm ceutycznej regulują jednak restrykcyjne wymogi i wysokie standardy. Zagrożenie zdrowia i życia ludzkiego oraz wysoka wartość ładunków są przesłankami sformułowania wielu wymagań jakościowych w odniesieniu do dystrybucji produktów leczn iczych. Podmioty świadczące usługi logistyczne dla branży farmaceutycznej są zobowiązane do przestrzegania ustawy Prawo farmaceutyczne oraz tzw. Dobrej Praktyki Dystrybucyjnej. Branża ocze-kuje ponadto rozwiązań niestandardowych, „szytych na miarę”.

Outsourcing is a trend gaining an increasing appreciation. Drug companies, to increase their competitiveness, become more inclined to entrust logistic operators with their logistics. Performance of the dynamically developing pharmaceutical industry is controlled by restrictive requirements and high standards of provided services. The risk to human life and health, as well as the high value of loads, determine the need to formulate a number of quality requirements concerning the distribution of pharmaceuticals. Business entities providing logistics services for the pharmaceutical industry are obliged to obey the act on Pharmaceutical Law and Good Distribution Practice. Furthermore, they are forced to offer and provide solutions being often different from market standards, whereby their operations are termed as “tailor-made”.

Rozwój rynku B2C w handle elektronicznym wpływa na wzrost znaczenia dostaw ostatniego kilometra, realizowanych na terenach miast. Ze względu na specyfikę handlu-elektronicznego, funkcjonowanie dostaw w ramach e-commerce na rynku B2C oparte jest na dostawach domowych. Z powodu rosnącego popytu na te dostawy, który w konsekwencji może oddziaływać na ruch drogowy i problem kongestii, jak również na środowisko miejskie, ważne jest poszukiwanie alternatywnych rozwiązań, pozwalających ograniczyć owo negatywne oddziaływanie. W ostatnich latach bardzo interesującym i popularnym, jako efektywny system dostaw ostatniego kilometra, rozwiązaniem stały się paczkomaty. W artykule dokonano oceny użyteczności tego rozwiązania, bazując na przykładzie systemu firmy InPost.

The growth of B2C e-commerce market results in the increase of importance of last mile deliveries in the city area. Due to e-commerce’s generic specificity, functioning of the deliveries in e-commerce on B2C market is based on home deliveries. Due to influence on the growing demand for deliveries, which consequently could have the impact on traffic and congestion problem as well as city environment, it is important to look for the alternative measures, which will help to reduce this negative impact. In recent years a very interesting and popular solution became parcel lockers as the efficient last mile delivery system. This paper is focused on the assessment of usability of this measure based on the example of InPost company system.

The article presents the objectives, functions and types of logistic services, as well as focuses on the trend which has become increasingly important in the prviding of modern logistics services, namely the outsourcing of these services. Particular attention was given on the development of outsourcing services segment and the advantages and disadvantages of this type of activity.
