Risk Assessment Method for Identification of Environmental Aspects and Impacts at Ore Processing Industry in Indonesia

Ore processing industry in Indonesia applies the international standard of environmental management system based on ISO 14001:2015. The implementation of clause 6.1.2 requires every organization to identify the environmental aspects of its operations, as an initial step in environmental management. The objective of this research is to develop a structured approach in identifying the environmental aspects and impacts so that an evaluation on the risks, opportunities as well as severity of possible environmental impacts can be conducted. The employed methods involve life-cycle approach and risk assessment method with four-cell risk assessment matrix in environmental risk determination. The results of this risk assessment can give an overview of environmental aspects and impacts, so that control priority can be determined in order to reduce the risks.

W artykule przedstawiono istotę koncepcji ekoefektywności w zarządzaniu innowacjami na przykładzie czystych technologii węglowych. Ekoinnowacyjność określono jako wyznacznik innowacyjności. Integrowanie rezultatów analiz aspektów środowiskowych z aspektami ekonomicznymi jest jednym z nowych trendów w zarządzaniu innowacjami. Dzięki zastosowaniu analizy ekoefektywności decydenci w przedsiębiorstwie mają możliwość wyboru najbardziej innowacyjnych produktów czy technologii, spełniających kryteria ekonomiczne oraz środowiskowe. Przedstawiono znaczenie ekoefektywności w projektowaniu innowacyjnych technologii. Pokazano główne cele analizy ekoefektywności oraz powiązania analiz ekoefektywności z zarządzaniem innowacjami. Na podstawie przykładowych analiz ekoefektywności dla czystych technologii węglowych stwierdzono, że podziemne zgazowanie węgla ma wyższą ekoefektywność niż elektrownia węglowa. W pracy przedstawiono kluczowe wskaźniki służące doskonaleniu ekoefektywności czystych technologii węglowych.

The article presents the significance of the concept of eco - efficiency in innovation management on the example of clean coal technologies. Eco - innovation was defined as the determinant of innovation. Integrating the results of environmental aspects analysis with the economic aspects is one of the new trends in innovation management. Application of eco - efficiency analysis in the enterprise allows for decision - makers choose the most innovative products or technologies taking into account economic and environmental criteria. In this article the importance of eco - efficiency in the design of innovative technologies, the main objectives of the eco - efficiency analysis and relationship between eco - efficiency analyzes and innovation management were shown. Based on examples of eco - efficiency analysis for clean coal technologies, it was found that underground coal gasification has a higher eco - efficiency than coal power plant. The paper presents the key indicators to improve eco - efficiency of clean coal technologies.

Artykuł prezentuje możliwości zastosowania koncepcji logistyki zwrotnej jako wsparcia dla realizacji strategii zrównoważonego rozwoju. Zwrócono uwagę na ewolucję koncepcji logistyki zwrotnej i jej stan rozwoju jako dziedziny wiedzy. Jednocześnie podkreślono niedostatek opracowań o charakterze całościowym w zakresie logistyki zwrotnej, zwłaszcza w literaturze krajowej, które mogłyby stanowic podstawę do zmiany postrzegania działalności gospodarczej przez menedżerów kierujących polskimi firmami i jej reorientacji w kierunku zrownoważonego rozwoju.

The article presents possibilities of implementing the conception of reverse logistics as a form of support for the realization of the strategy of sustainable development. The evolution of the conception of reverse logistics and its stage of development as knowledge have been highlighted. At the same time, attention has been put to lack of comprehensive study in the field of reverse logistics, especially in Polish literature, which could constitute a basis for changing the perception of business activity by the managers of Polish enterprises, and its reorientation in the direction of eco-development.
