W artykule przybliżono zagadnienia eksploatacji wód termalnych w Polsce oraz – na przykładzie zakładów górniczych działających na obszarze właściwości miejscowej Okręgowego Urzędu Górniczego w Poznaniu – sposobów ich wykorzystania, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem niekonwencjonalnego zastosowania jurajskiej wody geotermalnej do ekologicznej, basenowej hodowli ryb morskich (łososia atlantyckiego).

As a renewable source of energy in Poland, thermal waters are characterised by one of the highest energy potentials. The fact that regions of Poland with optimal geothermal conditions coincide with areas with a high density of urban and rural agglomerations, highly industrialised areas, and areas in which there is extensive agricultural and vegetable cultivation make such regions beneficial and important. In 2017 there were 6 geothermal power plants for central heating networks in Poland, while two additional plants were under construction. However, thermal waters were primarily used for balneotherapy and recreation. In addition, in 2017 there was one geothermal power plant (Geotermia Trzęsacz) that provided ecological water for an Atlantic salmon farm in Janów-Dreżewo (Karnice County). In individual cases thermal waters were also used to obtain iodine and bromine salts, carbon dioxide, as well as to dry wood, heat a football pitch and walking trails, for research purposes, and to supply certain heat pump systems. Rolno-Rybackie Gospodarstwo Hodowlane Jurassic Salmon Sp. z o. o. in Janów-Dreżewo is a world's unique closed, organic Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) farm in basins based on thermal waters and autonomous recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). Conducted in accordance with ASC standards, the farm confirms that thermal waters may also be used for other purposes than for energy, therapy, and recreation ones. The production cycle of salmon farming, which does not involve antibiotics, carcinogenic or toxic chemicals, takes 20–22 months and includes five farming stages: from eggs to adults. At the moment Jurassic Salmon Sp. z o.o. produces 12–15 tonnes of salmon per week (to be increased to 20t/week) that are intended for domestic and foreign markets. The idea of organic fish farming with the use of Jurassic geothermal water is a perfect example of 21st-c. aquaculture, limiting the level of investment risk related to boring out geothermal wells, and possibilities of using waters with low thermal energy potential.

Shrikes represent an important group of farmland bird species which inhabit open habitats where they prey on invertebrates and small vertebrates. Like the other farmland birds, shrikes are in the decline across their breeding range. During the 2014 breeding season, we conducted point observations in 470 locations in the Republic of Moldova, recording all the shrike individuals that were seen during 5 minutes. The highest density has been recorded for the red-backed shrike Lanius collurio, (0.489–0.652 breeding pairs ha-1) while for lesser grey shrike Lanius minor the density is ten times lower (0.042–0.076 breeding pairs ha-1). These two shrike species select pasture areas for breeding and avoid artificial surfaces, forests and wetlands. Regarding the geomorphological variables, red-backed shrikes and lesser grey shrikes prefer areas of a low, flat ground and aspects with low exposure to the sun radiation. According to the General Linear Model analyses, the red-backed shrike distribution is significantly influenced by percentage of arable land and orchards, while for lesser grey shrike we did not find any significant influence of environmental variables studied.

Hodowla drobiu wodnego zawsze miała znaczenie zarówno dla zaopatrzenia ludności w żywność, jak i dla smakoszy ceniących sobie wyrafinowane potrawy. Obecnie Polska należy do głównych producentów mięsa gęsiego w Europie, a chów gęsi kołudzkich® jest jedną ze specjalności krajowego rolnictwa. Wytwarzane z niego produkty odznaczają się doskonałą jakością, a mięso określa się jako zdrową i bezpieczną żywność. Dlatego warto spożywać gęś oraz wyroby z niej produkowane.

Currently, Poland is one of the leading manufacturers in Europe of goose meat and breeding of koludzka® goose is one of the specialties of domestic agriculture. The koludzka® goose meat is extremely good, and characterized by a high nutritional value and fine taste. The goose meat contains a lot of easily digestible proteins and is characterized by favorable fatty acid profile, and especially impresses with flavor. Products manufactured from goose meat have excellent quality, and the meat is defined as healthy and safe food. So you should eat goose and products made therefrom.
