W czasie budowy nowych torów i rozjazdów kolejowych, jak również w procesie ich utrzymania, należy wykonać odpowiednie pomiary i ocenić stan geometrii badanej infrastruktury. Pomiary te mogą być wykonane z wykorzystaniem jednego z trzech systemów pomiarowych: pojazdami pomiarowymi, maszynami do budowy i utrzymania lub urządzeniami lekkimi i ręcznymi. W artykule przedstawiona została metoda pomiarów szerokości toru i przechyłki w rozjazdach kolejowych z wykorzystaniem toromierzy ręcznych.

During the construction of new railway tracks and switches as well as the process of maintenance, you should carry out reliable measurements and evaluate the state geometry test infrastructure. These measurements can be made using one of the three measuring systems: track recording vehicles, track construction and maintenance machines or trolleys or manually operated devices. The paper presents a method of measurement track gauge and cross level in switches and crossings using measuring trolleys or manually operated devices.

Transportation of people and freight is carried out with the use of railways, roads, airways and waterways. Polish and European railway carriers can compete with other modes of transport only if technical and construction norms of railways are standardized. Currently the European mark et for rail transport covers diverse technical and operational standards. These include among others: technical solutions of overhead line, permissible curve radii limits, types of rail track facilities, platform heights, clearance. A variety of the existing systems and related regulations is a serious barrier in an attempt to make technical standards uniform across Europe. Similar problems also occur in the Polish technical standards related to railway infrastructure. Despite the consistency of the current technical standards in regulations and norms regarding surveys of the geometry of rail track facilities, there are inconsistencies in the field of surveying, diagnostics, and even mapping. Rail track facilities, such as turnouts and crossovers are among the most sensitive places in the railway tracks. They may result in reducing the speed of trains running via through stations. Also they significantly inhibit motion works on holding tracks and marshalling yards. Increasing rail infrastructure decapitalization leads to a decrease in the level of transportation safety and rail capacity.

Geodetic control measurements of changes in geometry an object should satisfy high accuracy and reliability. New techeometers equipped with Automatic Target Recognition automatically moves the telescope to the prism and supports control point measurements. The accuracy of using an ATR system and the stability of an instrument in precise measurements were present the results of monitoring measurement were controlled in laboratory and field conditions. This paper will present the results of monitoring measurements with a Leica TDA 5005 during the investigations of roof geometry in conditions of high temperature changes.

Amarantus (szarłat spożywczy) jest rośliną bardzo cenną ze względu na swój skład chemiczny. Nasiona mogą być spożywane w postaci surowych nasion, mąki oraz jako „popping” poddane procesom termicznym (np.: ekspandowaniu). Ważną cechą określającą jakość gotowego produktu po ekspandowaniu oprócz składu chemicznego, barwy jest ich geometria. W pracy zaprezentowano metodykę pomiarów wielkości geometrycznych z wykorzystaniem komputerowej analizy obrazów. Omówiono wpływ procesu ekspandowania na zmianę podstawowych wymiarów geometrycznych oraz współczynników kształtu nasion amarantusa.

Amaranth - for its chemical composition - is a valuable food plant. The amaranth seeds may be consumed raw (without any processing), as a meal or "popping" - after thermal treatment, e. g. by expanding. An impotrant feature determining the quality of amaranth seeds after expanding, apart from chemical composition and colour is their geometry. Paper presented the methods to measuring geometrical values with the use of computer image analysis. The effects of expanding process on the changes in basic geometrical dimensions and shape coefficients of amaranth seeds were discussed.

It is important to asses the quality of given point field when inserting the satellite measurements into S-JTSK. Main criteriac are the local scale changes and rotations. Points with low degree of identity are best excluded from the coordinate adjustment.
