Celem badań była analiza porównawcza reakcji sprzęgania w syntezie wybranej pochodnej 1,3,4-oksadiazolu, wykazującej właściwości luminescencyjne. Z możliwie najprostszych reagentów otrzymano związki metaloorganiczne, które poddano sprzęganiu z odpowiednim halogenkiem organicznym. Opisane badania pozwalają na ocenę użyteczności reakcji sprzęgania w syntezie π-sprzężonych pochodnych 1,3,4-oksadiazolu.

Five cross-coupling reactions (named Suzuki, Kumada, Negishi, Stille and Hiyama) were compared in a synthesis of (I, R = Br) with organometallic compd. to give (I, R = Ph). The reactions were carried out in the presence of Pd catalyst (5% by mole), with a molar ratio of the substrates 1:2.5 for 5 h. Treatment of (I, R = Br) with organoborane compd. (Suzuki coupling) gave the highest yields of (I, R = Ph) (21–61%) while with organosilicon compd. (Hiyama coupling) the lowest one (0–5%).

Leached phase-separated porous glasses are interesting support materials for heterogeneous catalysts utilized for cross-coupling reactions and hydrogenation reactions in the liquid phase. The option to construct tailor-made porous structures and shapes of the particles results in materials with interesting properties for catalysis, such as narrow pore size distribution or specific surface area. Loading of porous glasses with various metals by the wet-impregnation technique leads to active catalysts for widespread applications in organic synthesis. This article reviews the application of porous glass-based catalysts for the construction of new C-C bonds as well as for chemoselective hydrogenation under microwave-assisted or classical heating conditions.

We present cheap, quick and efficient three-phase synthesis of air-resistant Sym-Phos ligand {dicyclohexyl[3-(2,4,6-trimethoxyphenyl)-4-methoxynaphth-2-yl]phosphine} of C,P-type complexes. Sym-Phos creates effective palladium catalysts to be used in difficult cases of cross-coupling reactions carried out under favourable conditions for the environment (water, unplugged flask, moderate temperature).

A convenient and high yield synthetic route to arylene derivatives was reported and their electrochemical character was shown by properties of polymer with alternate arylene and bispyridine, bisthiophene, bisfurane and bisthiazole units. Polmerization is processed as two steps bielectronic oxidation of molecules. In monoelectronic oxidation stableradical cation is formed with spin located on phenothiazine. The electrochemical properties of polymer are dependent on film thick ness deposited on electrode. In the case of the thin layers one can observe characteristic redox couple of phenothiazine oxidation to radical cation. Analysis of polymer behaviour and results of spectrochemical measurements point on mixed type of electroconducting.

The Suzuki-Miyaura coupling of 4- and 6-halosteroids affords good to excellent yields of potential aromatase inhibitors. While the reaction with 4- and 6-bromo derivatives is catalyzed by Pd(PPh3)2Cl2, the coupling with 6-chloro steroid (chlormadinone acetate) requires the use of Pd(dppb)Cl2 or Pd(dppf)Cl2. The palladium-catalyzed amination of bis(3-bromophenyl) ether of (5_)-cholane-3,24-diol with different polyamines leads to new macrocycles comprising one steroid and one polyamine fragments. Possibility of synthesis of macrocyclodimers containing two steroid and two polyamine fragments have been investigated.
