The paper presents an analysis of the possibility of determining the general characteristics using the operational data of an engine of refuse collection vehicle. Data acquisition was done by reading information from the CAN network using FMS standard (Fleet Management System), which is widely used in heavy duty vehicles since year 2002. The paper presents the analysis of the expected measurement uncertainties resulting from the standard PN_ISO 15550-2009. The experimental data were filtered due to the established constraints that define the static states of the engine. On the basis of the obtained measurement data, corresponding to various defined static states, the general characteristics of the engine were made and discussed.

Przedstawiono projekt stanowiska badawczego służącego do wyznaczania charakterystyki ogólnej silnika pojazdu ciężarowego, wykorzystując przystawkę odbioru mocy do napędu układu hydraulicznego generującego obciążenie silnika w różnych punktach jego pracy. Przedstawiono założenia projektowe oraz ograniczenia konstrukcyjne. Omówiono zasadę działania stanowiska i metodę wyznaczania charakterystyki. Opisano układ hydrauliczny oraz układ sterowania, jak i zaprezentowano model 3D. Zaprojektowane stanowisko badawcze pozwala na testy stacjonarne oraz mobilne w zakresie mocy określonej przez układ hydrauliczny.

The paper presents a design of an engine test bench, which is used to determine the general characteristics of a truck engine using a power take-off to drive a hydraulic system that generates a load on the engine at various points in its operation. The design assumptions and design constraints are presented. It discusses the principle of the test bench and the characteristics calculation method. Hydraulics and control systems have been described as well as the 3D model. The design of the test bench allows for stationary and mobile tests in the power range specified by the hydraulic system.

W publikacji opisano metodykę wyznaczania optymalnego z punktu widzenia energooszczędnego sterowania prędkością samochodu pola pracy silnika samochodowego na jego charakterystyce ogólnej. Uwzględniono przy tym najnowsze osiągnięcia w tym zakresie. Uwzględniono również wyniki optymalizacji przebiegowego zużycia paliwa na obszarze zabudowanym, wykorzystując w najdłuższej fazie zmiennego cyklu jezdnego, zwanej przebiegową, dwie podstawowe techniki sterowania – hamowania silnikiem i jazdę z rozłączonym napędem.

Methodology of determining optimum aspect of car engine performance regarding energy saving control of car velocity on the basis of its S.F.C. map has been presented in the paper. The latest designs have been taken into account as well. The results of optimizing the course fuel consumption in city traffic have been considered as well. Optimization results of the course fuel consumption in city traffic have been considered and so two basic driving techniques, i.e. engine braking and idle driving have been used in the longest phase of changeable driving cycle (the course phase).

W pracy przedstawiono zalety autorskiego programu selekcji reprezentatywnych charakterystyk ogólnych silników ZI i ZS, budowy na ich podstawie macierzy liczb jednostkowego zużycia paliwa ge i możliwości ich adaptacji dla innych silników napędowych samochodów osobowych. Omówiono takie zalety przyjętej metody w stosunku do metod stosowanych w innych ośrodkach naukowych, jak dokładność odtworzenia macierzy ge i uniwersalizm zastosowania w ramach programu EKO-DRIVE 2005 do nietypowych zespołów napędowych, np. hybrydowego lub z silnikiem ZI GDI.

The advantages of the author’s research project have been presented in the paper. The project concentrated on selecting representative general characteristics of ZI and ZS engines and on the basis of these data it was possible to build up matrix of numbers of ge specific fuel consumption. It also enabled to adapt them for other types of car engines. Precision of reproducing ge matrix and universal application for the purposes of EKODRIVE 2005 for unconventional power units such as for example hybrid power unit or with ZI GDI engine seems to be a big advantage of the applied method while comparing it to the methods used in other research centres.

W artykule przedstawiono ogólną charakterystykę substancji aromatycznych, cele ich stosowania oraz funkcje, jakie spełniają w produktach spożywczych. Biorąc pod uwagę fakt, iż substancje aromatyczne są przebadane pod względem toksykologicznym w stosunkowo małym zakresie, celowe jest monitorowanie ich spożycia z żywnością. Omówiono dwie metody wykorzystywane obecnie w różnych krajach europejskich i w USA do oszacowania pobrania substancji aromatycznych z żywnością.

The paper gives overall characteristics of flavouring substances, the purpose of their use and their functions in food. As there is still not enough data on potentially adverse toxicological effects of many flavouring substances, it is important to estimate the levels of these additives to which consumers are exposed as a result of consuming flavour-containing products. Two methods intended for estimating flavouring substances intake in various Euro-pean countries and in USA are discussed. As there is still not enough data on potentially adverse toxicological effects of many flavouring substances, it is important to estimate the levels of these additives to which consumers are exposed as a result of consuming flavour-containing products.
