This paper deals with stability analysis of hybrid systems. Various stability concepts related to hybrid systems are introduced. The paper advocates a local analysis. It involves the equivalence relation generated by reset maps of a hybrid system. To establish a tangible method for stability analysis, we introduce the notion of a chart, which locally reduces the complexity of the hybrid system. In a chart, a hybrid system is particularly simple and can be analyzed with the use of methods borrowed from the theory of differential inclusions. Thus, the main contribution of this paper is to show how stability of a hybrid system can be reduced to a specialization of the well established stability theory of differential inclusions. A number of examples illustrate the concepts introduced in the paper.

Rozpatrzono problem badania asymptotycznej stabilności liniowych układów dynamicznych ciągło-dyskretnych. Podano komputerowe metody badania asymptotycznej stabilności modelu Fornasiniego-Marchesiniego oraz modelu Roessera. Zaproponowane metody mogą być stosowane do badania asymptotycznej stabilności innych znanych modeli układów ciągło-dyskretnych. Rozważania zilustrowano przykładami liczbowymi.

The problem of asymptotic stability of linear dynamic continuous-discrete systems is considered. Computer methods for asymptotic stability analysis of the Fornasin-Marchesini and the Roesser models are given. The methods proposed can be used for asymptotic stability analysis of the other known models of continuous-discrete systems. The considerations are illustrated by numerical examples.

Rozpatrzono problem projektowania regulatora ułamkowego rzędu zapewniającego zadany zapas stabilności układu regulacji z obiektem inercyjnym pierwszego rzędu z całkowaniem i opóźnieniem. Proponowana metoda projektowania bazuje na zastosowaniu idealnej transmitancji Bodego jako wzorca dla układu otwartego z regulatorem. Podano komputerową metodę syntezy regulatora ułamkowego rzędu. Rozważania zilustrowano przykładem liczbowym i wynikami badań symulacyjnych.

The paper considers the design problem of fractional order controller satisfying gain and phase margin of the closed loop system with time-delay inertial plant with integral term. The proposed method is based on using Bode's ideal transfer function as a reference transfer function for the open loop system. Computer method for synthesis of fractional controller is given. The considerations are illustrated by numerical example and results of computer simulation.

Rozpatrzono problem odpornej stabilności liniowego ciągłego układu ułamkowego rzędu współmiernego, którego funkcja charakterystyczna zależy liniowo od niepewnych parametrów. Pokazano, że do badania odpornej stabilności takich układów można stosować twierdzenie krawędziowe, znane z teorii odpornej stabilności rodzin wielomianów charakterystycznych naturalnego stopnia. Podano komputerową metodę służącą do sprawdzania warunków tego twierdzenia. Rozważania zilustrowano przykładem.

The problem of robust stability of linear continuous-time fractional order systems of commensurate order with characteristic polynomial linearly dependent on uncertain parameters is considered. It is shown that the Edge Theorem known from the theory of robust stability of families of natural degree characteristic polynomials can be used to robust stability analysis of the systems. Computer method for checking of the conditions of this theorem is given. The considerations are illustrated by numerical example.

W niniejszym artykule opisano metody badania stabilności paliw pozostałościowych. Celem tych metod jest określenie tzw. stability reserve, czyli odporności na działanie niekorzystnych czynników, związanych z blendingiem paliwa z innymi frakcjami naftowymi, bądź wysoką temperaturą przechowywania produktu. Porównano wyniki badań stabilności uzyskane różnymi metodami.

In the paper there were described methods for evaluating the stability of residual fuels. The aim of them is evaluating the stability reserve, i.e. the fuel resistance for the influence of the disadvantageous factors, like blending or storing in elevated temperature. There were compared the results obtained by different methods.

W pracy przedstawiono wyniki pomiarów rozkładu prawdopodobieństwa podstawowych parametrów technologicznych obiegowej masy formierskiej w odlewni żeliwa. Przeprowadzone badania pokazały, że proces przygotowania masy jest procesem stabilnym w zakresie badanych parametrów i że stabilność ta może być podtrzymywana w procesie wytwarzania form.

In the paper the results of probability distribution measurements of basic technological parameters of circulating moulding sand in the cast iron foundry were presented. The performed investigations demonstrated that the sand preparation system is stable in the range of investigated parameters and that this stability can be sustained in mould making process.
