Abstrakty
The article shows possible improvement of corrugator operation and energy saving. Particular attention was paid to a steam and condensate systems in corrugators and compressed air systems. The article presents applicable technical solutions enhancing energy effectiveness of corrugator. A need for application of control systems for corrugated production process and control of basic parameters based on their continuous visualization were underlined. In the latest BHS corrugators, a visualization system is an integrated part of the Process Control System (PCS). Paper is one of the major factors impacting production cost of corrugated board. The latest high-speed corrugators can convert lightweight paper grades both as liners ad fluting. Market analysis show growing demand for light paper grades. Corrugator suppliers have to develop new solutions considering both higher efficiency and deteriorating corrugator operation and corrugated board quality.
