Przedsiębiorstwo, aby produkować produkty o odpowiednim poziomie jakości, które znajdą nabywców na rynku, musi posiadać odpowiednią wiedzę dotyczącą technologii ich produkcji. Posiadana technologia, a tym samym gotowe produkty będą miały wpływ na pozycję przedsiębiorstwa na rynku, a co za tym idzie na jego istnienie na tym rynku. Dlatego określenie odpowiedniej strategii technologicznej jest tak ważne dla każdego przedsiębiorstwa, w tym dla przedsiębiorstw branży metalurgicznej. W artykule wykorzystano macierz powiązań pozycji rynkowej przedsiębiorstwa z jego możliwościami technologicznymi od oceny pozycji technologicznej przedsiębiorstwa branży stalowej.

A company, in order to produce goods of sufficient quality, which find buyers in the market, must have adequate knowledge of their production technology. The own technologies, and at the same time the finished products will affect the position of the company in the market and hence the existence of this market. Therefore, to determine the appropriate technological strategy is so important for any company, including business area of metallurgy In the article a matrix of the relation between the position of the company on the market and its technological possibilities was used to evaluate the technological position of the steel industry company.
