Designing the correct anchoring of jet grouted stilts in the foundation decides about the correct connection of the new structural element with the existing one. In the engineering practice, many designing solutions can be found, mostly consisting in building stilts heads that transfer the load from the stilts directly to the existing structural elements of the building (pillars, walls). It is most favourable to drill the old foundation and automatically anchor the stilt in the foundation using the friction forces between the side surface of the stilt and of the drilled surface in the foundation.
