EN

Corrosion inhibitors could be a useful tool in conservation of metals and a stabilization method for the further metals corrosion. There are many particular problems that confront the application and selection of an appropriate corrosion inhibitor for use in conservation. The inhibition conception, the inhibitors types and their mechanisms are reviewed, while the possibility of using corrosion inhibitors in conservation and the methods of their application are extensively discussed as a basis for further discussions in this aspect that is important to chemists, conservators, museum curators and collectors.

Inhibitory korozji są użytecznym narzędziem w walce z korozją. Przyczyniają się do ochrony metalu, a także do stabilizacji już skorodowanej powierzchni metalu. Szczególne problemy sprawia fakt zastosowania inhibitorów w celach konserwatorskich, opracowania odpowiedniej metodyki i dobrania odpowiedniego inhibitora.
