In the conformity control of concrete, different criteria are in use. The current design codes are based on the semi-probabilistic design format. This supposes that a sufficient degree of control exists to assure that a distribution of concrete strength is in accordance with the assumption on which the design procedure is based. The following aspects of conformity control of concrete strength are covered: - general concept and types of conformity criteria, - hazard and risk in conformity control, - risk-based conformity criteria, - concept of risk balance between producer and client.
