This paper deals with summarizing of mining history and present state of medieval mine Jeronym near Cistä (Sokolov District). The main aim of research in this mine is evaluation of stability of underground spaces. Therefore, geomechanical and seismological monitoring is performed. Fluctuation of level of some mine water accumulations and measurement of seismic load of workings provide significant results for evaluation of the workings stability. First results from mathematical modelling for the determination of stress-strain conditions and stability state in chamber were also presented.

W artykule przedstawiono najistotniejsze informacje na temat historii i stanu obecnego średniowiecznej kopalni Jeronym k. Cista (okręg Sokolov). Głównym celem badań, których wyniki częściowo zostały przedstawione, była ocena stateczności podziemnych wyrobisk. Dla realizacji tego celu przeprowadzono m, in. geomechaniczny i sejsmiczny monitoring. Dokonano pomiarów wysokości poziomu wodonośnego i obciążeń wyrobisk w wyniku zjawisk sejsmicznych. Przedstawiono także pierwsze wyniki modelowania matematycznego stateczności wyrobisk.
