Abstrakty
I. The paper includes list of 1,300 varied kinds of glasses, produced in Josephine Glassworks. It comprises ruby, alabaster, millefiori, and filigree glasses as well as the ones coated and dyed in mass. The list contains their technical data, parameters and prices. II. The paper presents Franz Pohl's Recipe Book which dates from the period about 1840 and contains 66 recipes, his own considerations and technological commentaries as well as chrestomathies from the then newest technological literature. Szkło i Ceramika, 2002 year, No 2/2002, pp 38-40, and No 3/2002. Other achievements of Franz Pohl (1813-1884), a technology manager at the Josephine Glassworks, were cited in Szkło i Ceramika. 1) No 4/2000, pp 27-30, Żelasko St., The Silesian method of producing old Venetian network filigree glass-vetro a'reticelli, employed by Franz Pohl in the Orle-Carlsthal Glassworks in Silesia, about 1840. 2) No 1/2001, pp 39-41, Żelasko St., The Silesian method of producing avanturine (copper and chromium) glass employed by Franz Pohl in the Józefina Glassworks- Josephinenhuette in Silesia, in the second half of the 19th century.
