PL

Obecnie postępujące rozpraszanie zabudowy, a także przekształcenia wewnętrznych terenów miast często powodują, że krajobrazy tych obszarów stają się podobne i gubią regionalny charakter. Dlatego największą wartością w kształtowaniu krajobrazu współczesnych miast jest utrzymanie bądź wykształcenie odrębnej tożsamości każdego z nich. Jednym z podstawowych elementów krajobrazu miast wpływających na ich tożsamość są przestrzenie publiczne, w których ważną rolę odgrywają technologie i materiały budowlane. W wielu nowych i rewitalizowanych przestrzeniach publicznych miast europejskich widoczne są nowe formy przestrzenne, a także wprowadzane są nowe materiały przemieszane z tradycyjnymi oraz wiele nowatorskich, indywidualnie zaprojektowanych rozwiązań materiałowo-technologicznych (część najciekawszych z nich to przykłady prezentowane w artykule).

At present both urban sprawl and transformation of inner city areas are the main factors of losing the regional character of landscapes. Therefore creation of city' identity is the most important value in shaping the landscape of contemporary cities. Basic elements of landscape influencing the city' identity, are public spaces and building materials and technologies shaping their forms. In many public spaces of European cities there are introduced new spatial forms, new and traditional building materials (mixed together) as well as many innovative individually designed material-technological solutions (the most interesting examples are presented in the article).
