PL

W artykule poruszono problem agresywnego zachowania na drodze. Wyodrębniono główne czynniki sprzyjające zachowaniom antyspołecznym wśród kierowców: panujący w społeczeństwie schemat i rola kierowcy, anonimowość, agresywna jazda jako mechanizm autowaloryzacji oraz modelowanie ryzykownych zachowań przez mass media. Zaproponowano także sposoby przeciwdziałania agresji na drodze: trening radzenia sobie z gniewem (SIT), stosowanie nieuchronnych kar oraz kampanię medialną opartą na reklamach lękowych.

This study presents the main reasons of driver's aggressive behavior on the roads and the most effective methods of prevention. The specific cognitive schema of a drivers as a group of society, anonymity, risky driving as a self-affirmation procedure and mass media as a source of aggressive behavior exemplars are thought to be the cause of aggressive driving in Poland. According to authors adding Stress Innoculation Training (SIT) to driving course and media campaign based on moderate level of fear can be the most promising ways to make roads safer.
