Obecnie, stosowane są różne strategie przy budowie dróg w celu minimalizowania negatywnego wpływu na środowisko naturalne. Jedną z ostatnich technologii są "mieszanki na ciepło" , które skutkują obniżeniem temperatury produkcji i układania. Ten efekt może być osiągnięty dwoma sposobami: przez zastosowanie dodatków do lepiszcza lub mieszanki zmniejszających lepkość asfaltu lub przez dodanie niewielkiej ilości wody, która spienia asfalt.

Nowadays, different strategies are used in road construction to minimize negative impact on natural environment. One of recent technology is 'warm mix asphalt' which consists in reducing the temperature in production and compaction. This effect can be approached by two ways: by introducing an additive into the binder or mix which will reduce its viscosity of bitumen, and by introducing small amount of water into the mix which foams the binder.
