Due to high generation of solid waste materials around the world, the reuse of solid waste becomes indispensable in order to make them environmentally friendly. Therefore, the utilization of solid waste minimizes the amount of disposal, the solid waste management cost, and natural resource consumption. In this study, waste glass and ceramic tiles were used in concrete instead of aggregate. Experiment was conducted in three stages. The first and second stages focused on the glass-concrete and ceramic-concrete respectively. Meanwhile, the third stage consists blend of glass and ceramic tiles together. These concretes were compared to conventional concrete. The results showed that blending of waste glass and ceramic tiles aggregates can be utilized partially. Improvement in the mechanical characteristics of the non-conventional concrete was observed.

Odpady szklane i płytki ceramiczne zastosowano w niniejszym badaniu zamiast kruszywa w betonie. Eksperyment przeprowadzono w trzech etapach. Pierwszy i drugi etap dotyczyły odpowiednio betonu ze szkłem i betonu z ceramiką. Podczas gdy trzeci etap polegał na połączeniu szkła i płytek ceramicznych. Otrzymane betony porównano z betonem konwencjonalnym. Wyniki pokazały, że częściowo można wykorzystać mieszanie kruszywa szklanego i płytek ceramicznych. Zaobserwowano poprawę właściwości mechanicznych betonu niekonwencjonalnego.
