W artykule podjęto próbę zdefiniowania oraz identyfikacji podstawowych wymiarów współczesnej logistyki w rozumieniu właściwości konstytuujących i determinujących jej istotę i strukturę, w kontekście rozwoju i integracji w skali przedsiębiorstwa i rynku. W szczególności jako kluczowe, stanowiące łącznie o istocie i walorach logistyki jako zintegrowanej koncepcji, przyjęto oraz poddano identyfikacji kolejno następujące wymiary logistyki: zarządczy, systemowy, procesowy, rynkowy, efektywnościowy i organizacyjny. W toku identyfikacji starano się wskazać na istotne nowe wyzwania pod adresem współczesnej praktyki przedsiębiorstw oraz rzeczywiste i potencjalne korzyści dla klientów i przedsiębiorstwa, związane z wdrażaniem wspomnianych orientacji i wymiarów logistyki.

The article attempts to define and identify the basic dimensions of the contemporary logistics, perceived as the properties constituting and determining its nature and structure, in the context of development and integration in the scale of both the enterprise and the market. In particular, the following key consecutive dimensions of logistics were presented and identified: managerial, systemic, process, market, performance and organizational. These dimensions together make up the nature and qualities of logistics as an integrated concept. In the identification process, there was an attempt to identify significant new challenges regarding the contemporary practice of enterprises as well as real and potential benefits for customers and enterprises, related to the implementation of these orientations and dimensions of logistics.
