The results of measurements from the standard and automatic meteorological stations are compared in the paper. It was observed that the differences between mean temperature, precipitation and wind velocity were not significant. Mean 24-hours solar radiation in the growing period was also similar to that calculated with sunshine hours, but the differences in months and ten-day periods were greater. Vapour pressure deficit calculated from measurements at 7, 13 i 19 was greater by 21% than that calculated from 24 hours. The 24-hours values of meteorological elements measured with an automatic meteostation are more reliable than measured with a standard one. The differences between mean or sum values are caused by the computational procedures and not by the momentary values recorded by the sensors.
