This paper deals with the modifications of customer demands and with the impact of modifications of customer demands on the location of supply centers. The solution of the location problem with exactly p location is sought. During the computation the penalty constant is used very often. Accumulation of the penalty values in die same variable causes the memory overflow. To eliminate this defect, we use the coefficient of the proportionality in some parameters of the location problem. We find how the coefficient of the proportionality influences the accuracy of the final result. The obtained results can help to solve the problem of the distribution systems design.

Artykuł zajmuje się modyfikacjami popytu klientów i wpływem modyfikacji popytu klientów na lokalizację centrów zaopatrzenia. Poszukiwane jest rozwiązanie problemu lokalizacji z lokalizacją dokładnie p, W czasie obliczeń bardzo często używana jest stała karna. Akumulacja wartości karnych w tej samej zmiennej powoduje przepełnienie pamięci. W celu wyeliminowania tej wady dla niektórych parametrów problemu lokalizacji używamy współczynnika proporcjonalności. Stwierdzamy, jak współczynnik proporcjonalności wpływa na dokładność ostatecznego wyniku. Uzyskane wyniki mogą pomóc w rozwiązaniu problemu projektowania systemów dystrybucji.

Nozick (1977) was a critique of the view of Austrian economics which rejected the notion of indifference in human action. This author claimed that this stance was incompatible with the notion of the supply of a good, and, also, with diminishing marginal utility, both of which were strongly supported by this praxeological school of thought. Block (1980) was an attempt to rescue the Austrian school from this brilliant intellectual challenge. Hoppe (2005; 2009) rejected Nozick’s challenge, and, also, Block’s (1980) response. Block (2009a) and Block and Barnett (2010), defended Block’s (1980) analysis of indifference. The latest contribution to this ongoing discussion is Wysocki (2021) who maintains that Hoppe was correct in his rejection of Nozick, while Block was not. The present paper is a rejoinder to Wysocki (2021).

The paper deals with the problems of selection, sizing and obtaining energy management strategy in a hybrid energy supply system. The system consists of a number of energy storages and generators. The two-level optimization using genetic algorithm is presented. The algorithm work was considered in two states: static – while optimizing a HESS configuration with energy management strategy and dynamic while optimizing the strategy in real time. The aim of these research is to develop a method for selecting the optimum configuration of devices in a HESS and to optimize energy management strategy in real time, allowing for interference in the system configuration.

W raporcie z listopada ubiegłego roku eksperci firmy doradczej Aberdeen Group przedstawili obserwacje i wnioski wynikające z dokonanej przez nich analizy problemów, przed jakimi stoją szefowie działów zakupów (CPO, Chief Purchasing Officer) ponad 200 firm z Ameryki Północnej (65%), regionu EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa; 30%) oraz obszaru Azji i Pacyfiku (5%). Wśród badanych przez nich firm przeważały wielkie przedsiębiorstwa o obrotach powyżej miliarda dolarów (64%), choć nie brakowało również małych firmy, o obrotach poniżej 50 milionów dolarów (9%). W badaniu wzięli udział przedstawiciele 32 branże. Podobnie jak w przypadku innych opracowań Aberdeen Group, zebrane dane oraz opracowane wnioski zostały przedstawione w sposób, który uwzględnia istnienie różnic w biznesowych kompetencjach firm z badanej grupy.

Nowadays companies must approach the protection of the natural environment as an integral part of their management process. The using of waste as raw materials in manufacturing processes is in line with the idea of maintaining justice across generations. However, business practice has shown that in order for such activities to take place, companies need first to grapple with numerous barriers arising in the course of their adaptation to participate in reverse channels. The purpose of this paper is to present sample barriers encountered during the sourcing of reusable materials, which are the products of the company’s organisational structures and the nature of the entire secondary materials market. Planning the supply of reusable materials supply is more complex compared with planning the supply of primary materials. This is because the flow of re-sources occurs through many reverse channels with unstable supply and material quality (industrial and household waste). The supply, which means the availability of raw materials, depends on many issues. However, the limited availability of natural resources makes creating sustainable supply chains, operating like ecosystems, a pressing requirement.

The logistic support realization in the multinational environment within the framework of the current missions is producing new findings in channels of distribution, standards and new access. The current NATO operation International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan has had important impact towards new ways of the logistics support understanding. It seems to be clear that ISAF lessons learned will also have impact to the combat service support and practical support realization. The aim of the NATO logistic support concept is to support the Joint Force Commander’s (JFC) operations and to achieve efficiencies and economies of scale through optimum use of multinational logistic solutions.

The aim of publication was to recognize the characteristics and morphology of today’s hog cycle. The hypothesis was that known in the economy since the second half of the nineteenth century hog cycle is also a typical phenomenon in the contemporary economy. It is also claimed that cyclical supply changes of pig meat are not synchronized between countries. Fluctuations in production are country-specific and are influenced by local conditions. While in the case of pork prices there is a characteristic broad convergence of cycle between countries. Development of world trade exchange and economic integration of groups of countries lead to uniformity of cyclical changes in prices. The study included the world economy and eight selected countries with the largest share in the global production and/or foreign trade. The time range of empirical analysis (analyzing fluctuations in supply and prices) concerned the period 1991-2012.

The subject of this paper is the taxation of a security transfer of title to a fixed property with the tax on goods and services. The author focuses on the interpretation of the term “paid supply of goods” in the context of a security transfer of title. The objective of the following considerations is to establish whether a security transfer of a title is a chargeable event, and to indicate the moment in which the tax becomes chargeable on the grounds of the goods and services tax and in the light of the absence of a consistent practice of the tax authorities as well as divergent judicial decisions of administrative courts on the matter.
