The first part of the article covers the characteristics of outstanding Polish military education and training centers, first of all, their origins with special identification of reasons that created the basis to establish such organizational units and priorities of the curriculum assumptions and aims achieved in the course of teaching and training. The indicated bibliography and online sources relating to the genesis and development of Polish military personnel education and training have guaranteed a reliable presentation of hallmarks which characterized particular periods of operation of the most classical didactic models in reference to the elements of the educational process.
