In this paper, we present some issues linked to therapy that seem important from the philosophical point of view. After some basic remarks concerning the problem of the therapist-patient relationship we discuss the philosophical presuppositions of three models of therapy: biomedical, humanistic and holistic. Each of them is based on different respective philosophical positions. Next, we try to examine whether the deconstruction of these assumptions may be relevant for contemporary representatives of the practical health sciences.

The article presents a critical historical outline and description of the biomedical model of psychopathology, focusing on the second half of the 20th century. It also identifies and discusses the key problems connected with its dominance in the contemporary clinical and research practice. These problems concern, among other things, the validity and reliability of psychiatric diagnoses, research methodology, treatment effectiveness, or the influence of pharmaceutical companies on research and therapeutic activity. The serious conceptual problems of the whole model call into question the foundations and knowledge base of contemporary psychiatry. There are also justified doubts regarding antipsychotic and antidepressant medications nowadays – despite their increasingly wide use, the number of chronically ill people keeps rising. This situation leads to serious ethical problems and warrants questions regarding the over-medicalisation of issues commonly associated with mental health. A reform of research and clinical practice is urgent.

Mark Fisher wrote „the task of repoliticizing mental illness is an urgent one if the left wants to challenge capitalist realism.” This paper attempts to develop this thought and show how the repoliticization of issues defined as mental illnesses that could have an emancipatory potential and undermine capitalist realism could look like and how it could be related to the contemporary phenomenon of „psychedelic renaissance”. This repoliticization could constitute the first step towards acid communism – a step that would enable a comprehensive formulation of the project, the imagining of both acid communism itself as well as the road towards it. Even though psychedelics could provide an impulse for the change of the dominant psychiatric paradigm and the reorganization of mental health services, the process of the interception of these substances by the alienating and commodificating orders of psychiatry and capitalism can already be observed, so that both of the intertwined and mutually supporting orders can in fact be strengthened. From this perspective the institution of psychiatry becomes a key element preserving the status quo, which makes the imagining of the end of capitalism impossible. Politicization of mental health, that could question capitalist realism, needs to be connected with the deconstruction of the ideology of psychiatry.

W podstawowych dziedzinach fizjoterapii powstaje coraz więcej coraz węższych specjalizacji. Takie "rozczłono-wanie" fizjoterapii grozi "rozbiciem" bytowej jedności człowieka. Naprzeciw temu zjawisku wychodzi fizjoterapia holistyczna. W części III przybliżono trzy modele terapii i trzy, związane z nimi, postawy terapeuty wobec pacjenta. Każda z tych postaw w sposób istotny wpływa na charakter poznania chorego, a co za tym idzie - na wynik przeprowadzanego badania i rezultat wykonywanej terapii.

There are numerous narrow specialties within physiotherapy which have been developing in the recent years. Such division creates a serious threat to the existential unity of man. Human beings as such cease to exist. Holistic physiotherapy has been created to counteract that phenomenon. Part 3 shows three models of physiotherapy and three ways of approaching the patient that originate from the foresaid models. Each of those approaches affects the way the knowledge about the patient is acquired thus having a direct impact on the result of both the conducted study and the applied type of therapy.
