Recyrkulacja gazów spalinowych (EGR — Exhaust Gaś Recircula-tion) umożliwia ograniczenie ilości tlenków azotu emitowanych do atmosfery przez silnik spalinowy. Polega ona na dostarczeniu do cylindra wraz ze świeżym Ładunkiem pewnej objętości gazów spalinowych. W artykule przedstawiono możliwości wykorzystania recyrkulacji spalin i ich energii do ograniczenia emisji do atmosfery związków toksycznych i zwiększenia sprawności ogólnej pojazdu.

Recirculation of combustion gases (EGR - Exhaust Gaś Recirculation) enables one to limit a ąuantity of nitric oxides reissued to atmosphere by the internal combustion engine. It is based on supplying to the cylinder a reliable amount of combustion gases with a fresh charge, The attempt showing the utilization of fumes recirculation and usage of their energy to restrict emission of toxic compounds to the atmosphere and increase the generał efficiency of yehicle is presented in the paper,

W ostatnim okresie obserwuje się gwałtowny rozwój rynku wtórnego pojazdów (zakup i sprzedaż pojazdów używanych), odczuwalny szczególnie po wejściu Polski do Unii Europejskiej. Przyczyniło się to do wzrostu liczby sprowadzanych pojazdów często powypadkowych, poddawanych przed przekroczeniem granicy pośpiesznym naprawom, których stan techniczny jest trudny do oszacowania dla potencjalnego nabywcy. Opisywana sytuacja wymaga odpowiedniego przygotowania kadry rzeczoznawców, którzy będą posiadać niezbędne predyspozycje fachowe i dysponować podstawową aparaturą diagnostyczną.

Nowadays, we had seen fast development of vehicles secondary market (the purchase and sale of used vehicles), perceptible particularly after entry of Poland to European Union. This contributed to growth of vehicles imported number, often seriously damaged, subjected before crossing border hasty resuscitative repairs, which technical state is difficult to estimation for potential buyer. Described situation requires responsibly preparation of experts' personnel that will possess indispensable professional predispositions and will dispose basic diagnostic apparatus.

The process of automotive vehicles maintenance requires thorough assessment of the state of the vehicle and its systems. This is necessary for every day monitoring of changes of the vehicle technical state which, in turn, is the basis for scheduling and performing necessary operations involving repair or replacement of the parts whose fatigue life have come to an end. Detection of the reasons of inefficient operation of interacting systems and subsystems is also of great importance. Traditional methods and tools are often ineffective for providing the right diagnosis. The author discusses the possibilities of endoscopy and thermovision when used for assessment of the vehicle technical state.
