In the new energy market the role of typical energy customer evaluates from a passive one to more active. The new types of DSM programs are offered by energy suppliers in order to change customer behavior. The first part of the paper describe presents several types of energy tariffs dedicated to new energy market. Second part of the paper presents the results of preliminary studies of Polish residential energy customers' preferences of DSM programs, based on preliminary survey done in Central Poland in September 2012.

Cyfryzacja sieci elektroenergetycznej jest procesem, który powoli staje się rzeczywistością, zwłaszcza w krajach Europy Zachodniej, czy Ameryki Północnej. Inteligentna Sieć Elektroenergetyczna (ISE) oznacza zmianę sposobu zarządzania popytem na energię i szerokie zaangażowanie odbiorców w aktywny udział w rynku energii. Określenie inteligentna odnosi się do faktu, iż poprzez sieć przesyłana jest nie tylko energia, ale również dane, które stają się podstawą jej funkcjonowania i podejmowania decyzji na rynku energii, co wymaga znacznych inwestycji w nowe rozwiązania ICT. Projekty instalacji inteligentnych liczników, nowe systemy taryf oraz nowe programy efektywności energetycznej wprowadzane są przez dostawców energii, początkowo jako projekty pilotażowe na wybranych obszarach. Na zaangażowanie odbiorców w proponowane projekty ma wpływ wiele czynników, z czego podstawowymi są działania informacyjno-edukacyjne prowadzone przez jednostki je wprowadzające. Podstawowe znaczenie dla rozwoju ISE ma zmiana relacji dostawca – odbiorca energii, szeroki system dwustronnej komunikacji i rozwiązania ICT niezbędne dla codziennego sterowania zużyciem energii. W artykule wskazano znaczenie prowadzenia działań edukacyjno-informacyjnych na podstawie analizy danych z badań własnych, przeprowadzonych w regionie łódzkim w 2013 roku oraz na podstawie studiów literaturowych i praktyk stosowanych przez dostawców energii w procesie budowania zaangażowania odbiorców w nowe programy rynku energii.

The Smart Grid (SG) – a new idea of energy management is the unarguable direction of the 21st.century electricity grid. Thishowever requires huge capital investments in new technology, infrastructure and ICT solutions. The wide-ranging deployment process of new energy market ideas depends on a number of factors such as: the legal framework, adopted market mechanisms, accessible infrastructure and new ways of distributor-client communication. One of the most important tasks is to change the role of passive energy customers into active prosumers. The customers’ acceptance of new offers and energy market possibilities is a key element for the widespread SG deployment and demands a lot of effort to prepare the proper educational process. The purpose of this article is to present the importance of a coordinated education system based on literature overview, best practices used by utilities advanced in SG solution implementations and the results of a survey done in Lodz Region in 2013.

The bike-sharing system allows to rent a bike from any station. The aim of the study was to get to know users’ opinion on the applications supporting this system. The scope of the study concerned the use of the system in Lodz and evaluation of selected features of the application.

Relational data bases are a novel but very dynamically developing field of knowledge. The article contains a review of the available and most popular systems of management of data bases. Its introductory part describes the rules concerning the relational model of data base elaborated by an American mathematician E. F. Codd and a short description of the SQL language being a standard of the structural language of questions increasingly more commonly used in the systems ,of management of relational data bases today. The core of the article are short presentations of the following data bases: Oracle 5.1,Ingres 5.0, Informix SQL and 4GL, SQLBase, Btrieve 4.1. and XQL 1.0,XDB II, SCO Integra, dBASE IV, Paradox 2.0, FoxBASE. In the final part of the article, the author presents a list of base processing speed tests containing the SQL language and a general list of the described data bases containing names of producers and minimal hardware requirements.The article ends with presentations of the present trends in development of the systems of management of data bases.

Wykorzystanie technologii komunikacyjno-informacyjnych (ICT) odgrywa ważną rolę we wzroście przychodów z gospodarki w każdym kraju, jak i w ujęciu globalnym na świecie. Dobrym przykładem są usługi turystyczne, oferowane tą drogą jako jedne z pierwszych. Innym przykładem e-usług, które są dopiero w fazie początkowej rozwoju są usługi oferowane przez nowy rynek energii. Te stosunkowo nowe usługi, niezwykle istotne z punktu widzenia naszych domowych budżetów, mają szanse stać się jednymi z tych, z których będziemy korzystać najczęściej, np. planując zakupy sprzętu elektrycznego czy korzystając z urządzeń w najtańszych okresach doby. Celem badań była weryfikacja stopnia wykorzystywania wybranych e-usług przez osoby starsze w zakresie usług związanych z turystyką i usługami oferowanymi przez dostawców energii elektrycznej. Podstawą badań była przygotowana ankieta, która kierowana była do osób w wieku 50+ potrafiących korzystać z Internetu. Analiza wyników przeprowadzonych badań stała się podstawą do wyprowadzenia wniosków dotyczących badanej grupy.

The use of information and communication technologies (ICT) plays an important role in the growth of revenue out of the economy in each country, as well as globally. Some e-services are at the mature level and are well known to the customers. A good example is the tourist market, which was one of the first to offer its services in this way . On the other hand some e-services are in the initial stage of development, like those offered by the new energy market. These relatively new solutions, important for sustainable growth, ecology and for household budgets, are expected to be widely used, but now seem to be unknown to most energy customers. The aim of the study was to find out if the older generation (50+) currently use existing digital services and to research their attitude towards new e-services. Two types of e-services were briefly examined: e-tourism and new energy market offers. The study was based on a questionnaire which targeted people over 50, who currently use Internet services. The analysis of the obtained results were the basis for drawing conclusions about the group under examination.
