The present article is devoted to the deliberations on the subject of theocentrism in the narrative Kisielnyje bieriega by Irina Piatnickoj. Irina Piatnickoj is a modern Russian writer the works of whom focus primarily on spiritual reality as well as the creation of spiritual values. Each text written by Piatnickoj can beexamined from a Christian perspective. Religiosity, biblical themes, reminiscences shown both explicite and implicite. The way of life of the heroes of the writer is a kind of unchanging model of a thematic system: from sinfulness to sainthood. In the narrative Kisielnyje bieriega the writer presents the fate of young people who are in love and who had to go through a hard school of life. Thanks to divine providence their love survived and even more – it grew stronger in God. In the analysed texts the motif of searching for divine truth and finding the way to it develop in a mounting fashion. Moreover, the antinomy of such categories as faith and lack of faith, humbleness and pride, sainthood and sinfulness is exhibited. A great value of the analysed texts is a penetrating demonstration of the religious experience of the heroes, that is lay people.

The following article is devoted to the considerations on life of Russian diasphora in religious context. The famous periodicals and the activtiy of the scientific circles of religious or proorthodox character were investigated. Their role in a moral rebirth and return to faith was assessed. Such processes as the establishment of religious organizations and development of spirtual life of Russian emigrants were shown on the basis of the activity of individual emigrants. The cultural life of Russian who live in exile was in total contradiction with a life in Bolshevist Russia. The rebirth of religion on enormous range – that was the answer of Russian emigrants to atheism of fighting revolutionaries. In fact the Russian intelligentsia returned to the Orthodox faith which that time was the only spiritual power rebirthing the spiritual life in Russia. Such factors as the depolticization of the Russian Orthodox Church, events in Soviet Russia and life in exile were responsible for this situation.

Niniejszy artykuł został poświęcony rozważaniom nad życiem rosyjskiej diaspory w aspekcie religijnym. Przedmiotem badań stały się znane periodyki oraz działalność kół naukowych o charakterze religijnym bądź procerkiewnym. Oceniono rolę tych podmiotów w moralnym odrodzeniu rosyjskiego społeczeństwa i powrocie do wiary. Na przykładzie działań poszczególnych przedstawicieli emigracji pokazano proces powstawania organizacji religijnych i rozwój życia duchowego Rosjan na wygnaniu. Życie kulturowe emigracji było całkowitym zaprzeczeniem tego, co działo się w bolszewickiej Rosji. Odpowiedzią rosyjskiej diaspory na walczący ateizm rewolucjonistów było odrodzenie religijności na niespotykaną dotąd skalę. Oderwanie od ojczyzny z jednej strony oraz wydarzenia w Rosji radzieckiej i depolityzacja Rosyjskiej Cerkwi Prawosławnej z drugiej sprawiły, że rosyjska inteligencja powróciła do prawosławia, będącego wówczas jedyną duchową siłą odradzającą jej duchowe życie.
