In this contribution are presented the results of monitoring of formaldehyde concentration level from particleboard furniture in indoor environment of paneled and walled houses in Slovakia. The monitoring of formaldehyde emission was performed in living rooms, children's rooms, bedrooms and kitchens all the year round. Although there were formaldehyde concentrations below the highest allowed formaldehyde concentration (60 microgram/m3), there was proved correlation logarithmic dependence between the average long term formaldehyde concentration and degree of loading space by particleboard furniture. Measurements showed that children's rooms and bedrooms represent the hazard for health of inhabitants because of their largest loading by particleboard furniture in this environment.
