Over the years, land in Warsaw has been subject to numerous legal regulations, resulting in frequent changes in ownership relations. As a result of communalization, nationalization, re-municipalization and taking account of decree claims, the ownership status (legal status) of real estate in Warsaw was and is essentially uncertain. The article collects and discusses legal regulations affecting the change in the legal status of Warsaw land, which was initiated by the decree of October 26, 1945 on the ownership and use of land in the capital city of Warsaw. The article also attempts to determine the direction of current changes in the law affecting the legal status of these lands.

In this paper the problem of vibration control of a multi-member column subjected to the specific load is investigated. The vibration control is realized with the use of the piezoceramic element in the form of a rod that is connected to the host structure by means of the pins strengthened by rotational springs. The Hamilton’s principle is used during formulation of the boundary problem. The results of the numerical simulations are focused on the correction of the characteristic curves shape at a different radius of the loading head.

The aim of the article is to analyze proceedings resulting in the determination of the value of real estate and an attempt to capture the reasons why the judicial determination of its value sometimes requires alternative or subsequent opinions on the value of the property by another expert valuer. For the purposes of this article, the method of examining individual cases was generally used, i.e. two exemplary court cases in which the main opinions, supplementary opinions, subsequent supplementary opinions, and subsequent main opinions were prepared and where an expert valuer was additionally summoned to a hearing in order to directly submit a supplementary opinion to the court.

Slender systems are mostly studied when Euler’s load or follower load is considered. The use of those types of external loads results in well-known divergence or flutter shape of the characteristic curve. In this study, one takes into account the specific load which allows one to obtain an interesting divergence – pseudo flutter shape of characteristic curves on the external load–vibration frequency plane. The curves can change inclination angle as well as one can observe the change in vibration modes along them. The shape of those curves depends not only on the parameters of the slender system but also on loading heads that induce the specific load. In this study, one considers the slender multimember system in which cracks are present and weaken the host structure. The results of theoretical as well as numerical simulations are focused on the influence of the parameters of the loading heads on vibrations, stability, and loading capacity of the investigated system as well as on the possibility of partial reduction of unwanted crack effect.

In this paper one presents the new concept of a rocker-bogie suspension where the suspension members can change their length. As a result of this action the frame with suspension is able to adjust to the specific environmental conditions. The main problem with the designed suspension system is a fact that with an extension of the suspension members their slenderness increases as well as final displacements. The solution of this problem is not so simple because the construction must meet the specific requirements due to participation of the mobile platform in different competitions. In the presented results of numerical simulations one shows an influence of the different materials on stress and displacements magnitudes of suspension members when the mobile platform hits an obstacle. This situation allows one to test different engineering solutions in the worst case scenario when suspension elements may be damaged. Finally the optimum design is presented.

Unmanned vehicles are often used in everyday life, mostly by rescue teams or scientists exploring new terrains. In those constructions, the suspension has constant dimensions, which leads to many disadvantages and limits the application area. The solution to these problems can be creating a six-wheeled mobile platform that can dynamically change the wheelbase in relation to the area of action or terrain inclination angle. The active change in location of the center of gravity gives a possibility to access sloppy obstacles not available with classical suspensions. The main scope of this study is to investigate the influence of material properties on vibration frequency at different lengths of suspension members. The obtained results will allow finding the optimum material for producing a prototype unit.

Designing products operating in harsh conditions is a challenging task. Years of experience, developed standards and good practices are crucial in achieving the intended result. The article shows a methodology for designing electronic systems based on the worst-case analysis (WCA) and comparing its outcomes with the experimental verification of an actual circuit through large-scale tests. The analysed diode-based semiconductor circuit is part of a temperature measuring system of industrial application. The objective of the design and analysis process is to achieve a reliable solution, which has all the required functionalities under actual, extreme operating conditions. The preliminary circuit design is developed using ideal components. The truth table, which represents customer requirements, is created to check the correct operation of the system. Simulation software, such as LTSpice, are used as the main tools to verify the correct functioning based on ideal or close-to-real component models. Next, based on the results of computer simulations, the WCA is conducted, considering all extreme (worst) operating environment parameters, such as, among others, ambient temperature or ageing. WCA results were verified through an experimental, large-scale measurement of the real system, with defined forward voltage as a function of the current flowing through the semiconductor at various ambient temperatures.
