A level of the human impact on the area governed by Woliński National Park was defined as a part of the project realized by Laboratory of Remote Sensing and Marine Cartography, University of Szczecin in co-operation with GEOMAR S.A. - a joint stock company from Szczecin. The project was done on a basis of an interpretation of infrared colour air photographs of this area and field investigation. The area of Woliński National Park consists of the forested uplands and some parts of wetlands at back delta of Świna in small part covered by trees and scrubs. There are two separate approaches in analysis of human impact for each of the above mentioned areas. It is presented in this article. The map described in this article is a kind of stock-taking of space from of which, or in neighbourhood of which, it is possible to see human impact on area of Woliński National Park This map is showing areas strongly transformed by man. To estimate human impact it was analysed a degree of exploitation of every kind of roads (including earth road in the forest). These analyses were supplemented by marking off objects built by man: -for forested upland were marked: recreation areas, tourist paths, attractions and any constructions and their impact on environment was classified, -for wetlands area the following were marked: every sheds, paths, footbridges, electric lines, drainage ditches and yacht harbors. All this objects are the sources of human impact. There was also created a land-use map for surrounding area. This method allows estimating the sizes of human impact. It can show main directions of expansion of human impact. Executed map is one of the graphic ways to present the human impact. This work can be helpful for authorities of park for the making decision about directions further activities having in view better protection supplies of park. It also allows estimating the size of negative human impact to area of Woliński National Park. The results were converted into digital form and pat into GIS database of Woliński National Park.

The aim of the paper is to analyze and assess selected factors influencing the absorption of structural funds in the initial period of Poland's membership in the EU (2004-2005) with a special emphasis on funds allocated for the realization of 'The Integrated Regional Operational Programme' (IROP) in the Mazovia voivodeship. The author examines the most important factors influencing the absorption of the structural funds and conducts a comparative analysis of the allocation structure of structural funds according to operational programmes and areas of intervention and a nominal level of their absorption all over the country and in the Mazovia voivodeship. Then the author analyzes content-related and technical evaluations of all applications carried out by a panel of experts. The results of the analyses were juxtaposed in the tables and supported by a descriptive evaluation which show a very low level of nominal absorption in the initial period of Poland's membership in the EU and measured by the value of payments to beneficiaries transferred from programme accounts which at the end of July 2005 amounted to 1,74% of the value of all commitments in Poland for the period 2004-2006. The low nominal absorption and a low content-related value of the projects create serious threats for effective absorption. The method used by the author to assess the nominal absorption within IROP allows him to carry out parallel research within specific operational programmes.
